  1. Beware of chemical warfare between the hammer and goniopora.
  2. If it is truly a pair, one would be significantly bigger (the female) compared to the male. If they are both around the same size, you have got 2 males..not a pair.
  3. Wow..nice tank for me to replace my existing 6mm tank with...taller too..but now exams coming..argh...$50 really cheap..can use it to build a vivarium also..
  4. Tell you get a proper stand liao..rather than get more corals..later all ur investment go down the drain...
  5. reminds me of sardines...long expiry date..
  6. Everything was agar agar one..that tank 2 yrs never redo then I take pic..that why the front part abit botak.. Then somemore if i were to continue I have to change my substrate..use more base fertilizer..so i might as well go marine.. Hehe...last time planted tank not cheap too...I collect those rather rare tetras like diamond tetras, red eye emperor tetra...oso had one reticulated ray in there...but then can't see in the pic...also snowball pleco, golden nugget pleco...hehe
  7. You won't know until you have tried. Everyone has different systems..
  8. I switched by 4 footer from a planted tank to a marine..slimpy because...I found planted tank maintainance more troublesome..u have to trim the plants...and change water every week..and damn..the fertilizers from germany were darn ex. Got bored of everything after about 2 yrs...then shifted my 2 footer into this 4 footer.. this was my planted tank..I still have my CO2 tank collecting dust.
  9. Cyclopeeze is'nt the all round food. Think they lack some nutrients found in other types of food. My seafan kept consuming cyclops and phyto..but still end up dying slowly..
  10. OK..will post a pic of it when it fully recovers.
  11. Eh..mention about what the tank is sitting on leh.. ;x
  12. The white tips are the skeleton. Think the tissue got rubbed off by attrition as it got washed up the shore. Hope it recovers..
  13. Is the name correct? I can't find any info on them.
  14. Not to mention acroporas exposed to the air and baked by the sun.
  15. Tidur i seriously ask you to rethink the amount of water you are putting in that tank. Sooner or later you will find that your glass bends outwards. Pls don't gamble with your livestock like that. It's alright to make a calculated risk...but this risk...is a 100% timebomb.
  16. Yup..the rent alone is enuff to suffocate you..
  17. You should be posting under general reefkeeping or under the new to marine section thread...SPS section is for small polyp stony corals.
  18. Sometimes fish will die when they can't recover from stress of capture. Or maybe the lack of opportunity to establish their own territory in your tank.. alot of factors involved..you'll have to narrow them down yourself..
  19. You use a D.I.Y electricity operated crane.
  20. Why not they just aquaculture liverock in fiji? Definitely better than just plucking them from the reefs and upsetting the ecosystem.
  21. Not more than 2 tangs. & I mean the smaller tangs like yellow, regal or purple
