  1. Wah...public display ur Hp. no. So brave...
  2. It should'nt be whether the fish is easy to keep. It should be 'how can I keep the fish alive?' Most fishes are easy to keep. Success depends on the person providing for it.
  3. Different perculas from ocellaris by counting the dorsal spines.
  4. Anemone will sting it if it moves close enough. Koran will peck the hell outta it.
  5. CL for me...finishing my last packet in the big bucket. For those who want free t-shirt and a bucket...go for CL.
  6. Probably no energy to keep itself upright already. It's a gone case. Even if you feed it now I don't think it would have the resources to capture and digest the food.
  7. purple gobies do not eat fish in the wild. Unless you are talking about fish fry.
  8. Most SPS will change colour according to the type of lighting and the intensity they are receiving. Their color is actually due to the type and abundance of zooxanthellae in their tissues. Just like my montipora digitata I picked up from the beach..initially the polyps were brownish green...now seem to become more greenish.
  9. No need to be worried if it is a justified or fair comment.
  10. Of cause it is ok..but your DSB will only remove nitrates. Why people add algae and lights over their DSB is to help remove other nutrients besides nitrates..for instance phosphate.
  11. Nicely done! Much better compared to the first tanks of even some gurus here.. Anyway..patience is the key..just wait 2 more weeks and everything will be fine. No harm waiting right? Add your corals first before you add any fish. Corals put less bioload on your biological filtration. Less chances of a sudden ammonia spike causing new tank syndrome. As your biological filtration adjusts to your bioload and stabilises....you can then add your fishes. Do it slowly..about 1-2 fish (depending on size..like 1 yellow tang = 3 small gobies, etc) per week would be a safe bet.
  12. It all depends on picking a healthy specimen to begin with. Healthy ones are bright blue...not dull blue. Are really meaty and not skinny..
  13. T5s make my tank bubble like champagne. Just like a planted tank.
  14. Can be put with LPS..as long as not too near..if not chemical warfare... Quite easy to keep..I propagated mine by just cutting it up...
  15. Wow...If I had landed property I would kop all liao..house no space to put everything.. 3 tanks for breeding crickets..hmmm..
  16. I've always liked the smell of UHU glue.
  17. My younger sis studies there too...
  18. Yea..good stands are a must..mine was from...4ftX15inchX15inch (glass gave way at the seam) to 2ft (the lousy cabinet started to crack) to this time..4ftX18inchX18inch...that why now my water put so little..sick of history repeating..
  19. I have seen many photos with acro colonies exposed to the air and sun during the lowtides. I was just curious how come I have'nt heard of anyone trying to mimic this daily phenomenon in their home aquariums? Will exposure to the air and direct light have any possible benefits? Could there be some hidden secret? If Acros do not like being exposed during low-tide why have they not all evolved to live deeper down? Anyway..the production of mucus to protect them from UV radiation from the sun is not really cost effective as it is metabolically taxing to produce mucus. Anyway...hope my question does'nt sound stupid...
  20. Ya..no problem..can tompang for awhile..I have space in my tank for now...but when I start getting my clams you will have to take it back..if not I wun be able to see my clams anymore... 1/4 of my tank view is already blocked by my gonio.. Just today around 2pm a few polyps actually extended about 1cm below the water surface....
