  1. Just curious...has the prices of clams increased incredibly or is it just my swua-gu-ness?
  2. Hey..got that fish in my tank too...Also my favourite fish..my sis has named it 'Mr freeze' since it occassionally freezes on the glass wall. Likes to rest on sps and corals.
  3. OMG...a $800 pump? Better have lifetime warranty.
  4. No nid to worry about the polyps for now la...as long as it is not bleaching and it has not RTN then all should be fine. Some sps appear more 'furry' than others..yours might be the less 'furry' type? Btw..how much u got it for? Nice specimen.
  5. You will have to buy the type that is 100% sodium bicarbonate.
  6. Females tend to be much smaller. For the sri lankan scooters the female does not have the high dorsal fin. Normally if you witness mouth biting then probably both of them are male.
  7. So many links have been posted by other reefers in the new to marine section...maybe you could start by reading those first?
  8. Inverts are more sensitive to sudden changes in salinity. You might have stressed it during introduction?
  9. ? I breed before fighting fish and tilapia. Some fish that spawned but I did'nt bother included cardinal tetras. If you are talking about marine...I don't think many people have bred them here..although a few are quite easy...like banggai cardinal..
  10. Wow..if only I tat tall during pri sch..pri sch I only slightly taller than teacher's waist. lol
  11. Ya..temperature will have an effect on your specific gravity. Water can be more dense at a lower temperature, meaning you will read a higher specific gravity.
  12. Ok..you will probably have to make sure he gets his share everyday. Feel happy for you. Maybe 10++ mysis shrimp a day would be a safe number.
  13. Awesome tank..don't worry about the algae. They normally occur in phases. After 4-5 months should totally go away by themselves. A few things to point out though... The pink tip heliofungia you have in your tank...they are naturally found on sand beds. Maybe it would be more comfy on the sand? Watch the sting thou...its sting is quite strong to other corals.
  14. Hey...I have those red ones on one rock...alot of them somemore...at first they were as nice as yours...not anymore now...still rather shrunken due to T5 burn...
  15. ooOooo...awesome color transformation.
  16. I will hold him and ask my gf to revenge.
  17. Yea...mine does'nt like water current blowing directly into his tube. He likes the current coming from behind.
