  1. heh..i dun open LFS one wat...choices are limited to what is in my tank.
  2. We won't know if your sump is big enough cause u never stated the size of your main tank. Generally I would recommend ulva compared to caulerpa..caulerpa have tendencies to turn sexual and die off. You can't use a canister to draw water into your sump...considering you will be activating 1 more pump to pump the water back up..you will end up with water overflow either in ur main tank or you sump. Just get a hole drilled in new tank or your existing 1..or get an I-box. LS = lifestock? Of cause lifestock is needed..
  3. mucus from softies like leather finger corals can irritate sps....best to keep them as far apart as possible.
  4. omg..tanzy..your avatar rocks! anyway..From what i heard sea cukes wun feed until they have replaced their internal organs.
  5. Got pipe organ...star polyp...leather coral..moon coral..cup coral etc... how? I might be going out later...if you can make it before 2pm you want drop by?
  6. wah liew...arrow ppl sia.... But i agree..danano tank using T5 is awesome.
  7. Hmmm..if you get a new batch of babies....your pods will disappear in no time...
  8. You can pm me if you are interested..thinking of clearing some corals..think i prefer my sand bed clear of corals..looks neater.. I live in east area too..pretty convenient for you...i live rather near to the new sponsor octopus bay.
  9. Ah ok...get wat you mean AT...oh yes...it's heineken..
  10. hmm..no..tiger beer..not reef builder... but yellowish tinge of the light should be around 6500K? I thought light around that color temperature accelerates sps growth well? Although they might not color up that well?
  11. Mudskippers feed on small crustaceans and other small inverts..don't think they take dead foods..
  12. Yellowish tinge...hmmm...good for shallow water sps..
  13. Ok....normally I don't just pour everything in...normally i pour in 1/4 every hour....but that day think i stoned or something..pour the whole bottle into the sump..then now even my zoanthids and mushrooms still look 'carbonate burnt'.
  14. They havent opened 3 days since i dosed the reef builder... That's why maybe I thought a change of environment might help...I din shift them much..they are at the same spot..just that I propped them up with another liverock about 5cm higher.
  15. wow...i shall get the neon goby regardless of price! I LOVE gobies!
  16. Hai..3 days ago added reef builder too rapidly in my tank..caused many things to go into shock..not to mention my sps frags.. My poccilopora and montipora digitatas are ok though..at least they appear to be...polyps extending and everything looks normal. However..the pink tip staghorn frag does'nt extend its polyps till now..what should I do? Blue tip staghorn frag...on the brown tissue..got some tiny white spots (possible die off i tink)..also not extending polyps anymore.. Should I continue dosing kalk? Or should i stop for now? kH around 9-10 and calcium around 480. Not sure for Mg levels. pH around 8.5 (sera test kit) For now I have shifted them as close to the water surface as possible to absorb the most light possible..... Anymore things I could do?
  17. sounds ridiculous...unless its a rose bubble-tip anemone.....
  18. I only have 3 rocks of mushies....it's my sps frags tat i value most......
  19. Heh..i agree...i got one by seachem..after 2-3 years still 80% full.
  20. commercial postings......beware of the planktons.
  21. My firefish gets along with my purple firegoby...it does'nt tolerate other firefish though.
  22. Hai..tink I'll live with a kH of 8-9..can't be bothered to get it up to 10...later my mushies and everything else dies........
