  1. Uncommon dragonet. S. morrisoni. Hope my female comes soon for my breeding project.
  2. Preferably yes. In nature they feed on zooplankton. Even scientific studies have shown poccillopora capable of ingesting newly hatched brine shrimp. SPS do grow faster with regular feeding as their protein requirements for growth cannot be met via photosynthesis. Many commercial products that are available locally can be fed to SPS. Examples include Roti-feast, Oyster feast from Reef Nutrition, Coral Smoothie from Algagen, Marine Snow & Zoplan from Two Little Fishies, Ultra Min F from Fauna Marin, etc. Varied diet is always better than a single diet.
  3. You may wish to state your livestock. If you have too much livestock in the system no amount of normal filtration can bring down the nitrates.
  4. I bought one to replace my birdnest pecking african flameback angel. So far so good, very peaceful as damsels go and leaving my gobies alone.
  5. Not much ppl notice the springer's damsel at ml? Amazing how such a fish is so under appreciated.
  6. Reluctantly have to sell off my African Flameback angelfish that has been a long term resident in my pico tank. It has somehow developed a habit of pecking at my seriatoporas. Small and cute fella, only 1-1.25". Going for $40. Self collect at Marine Parade or Iwarna.
  7. For nano-tank keepers, Iwarna just came many small tail-spot blennies (Ecsenius stigmatura), Segmented Sailfin Blenny (Salarias segmentatus). Also many small 1-1.5cm black ocellaris.
  8. Peppermint shrimps are said to eat berghia. Do avoid mixing if possible.

  10. At the size I supply, they can eat quite large aiptasia. As they grow larger (about 1") they can take the largest aiptasias.
  11. Yes just tell Auntie how many you want and leave your contact with her.
  12. Feeling so drained...after siphoning about 100 tanks today..

  13. I will have some babies ready in 1-2 weeks. Each pc goes for $16. Place order with Iwarna and they will inform you when the berghias are in stock.
  14. Not to mention the high price. Retail price will easily be above $50 per pc. How many people will pay $50 for a mandarin? Unless hobbyists here express willingness to fork out this amount I do not forsee much of captive bred mandarins landing here.
  15. New developments in reefing products have made it quite possible. The food to feed them is available, it now depends on the diligence of the reefer to keep flame scallops alive. Some recommendations you should try are Phytofeast Live from Reef Nutrition, Ultra Clam from Fauna Marin or even Shellfish Diet from Reed Mariculture. Daily feedings are necessary and you will have to monitor your water conditions well while feeding so much food.
  16. Just keep changing water you won't go wrong.
  17. If you are talking about the actual peppermint shrimp, it's probably Lysmata wurdemanni. Other shrimps that get imported as peppermint shrimps include Lysmata rathbunae, Lysmata boggessi, Lysmata vittata, Lysmata seticaudata, and many other Lysmata sp. The most common peppermint shrimp you find here is Lysmata boggessi. To the untrained eye, it's hard to differenciate it from L. wurdemanni but they work all the same.
  18. omg.. 0 phosphates for my pico tank...amazing how daily water changes help without any protein skimming..

  19. Feed the fish with food that contains high levels of carotenoids. Such foods include cyclopeeze, arcti-pods. There are some pellets that are formulated with such carotenoids in high amounts like Fauna Marin Marine Base Color / Marine Soft Shrimp. Henry of Marinelife also has a range of frozen food that has high inclusion levels of carotenoids to bring out the color of your fish.
  20. Coldwater Opistognathus hopkinsi from Japan. Posted back in 2010 on reefbuilders.
  21. A brand new Phosban 150 from Two Little Fishies is quite affordable.
  22. If the fish is younger than a year it is possible that the third stripe will develop.
