  1. Hang on better lah..you can adjust the spread of the lighting to your liking that way.... Stand on one tends to be more restricted..somemore you will have to remove the light when doing maintenance and such..very troublesome.
  2. If it's marine driftwood it should be alright. Other than that...I don't think it is a good idea. Your water will end up brown and probably contain tannins.
  3. It is slowly dying. The yellow part you see is the skeleton.
  4. Algae needs a few things to grow...phosphates, nitrates and light. They really much more on phosphates compared to nitrates so if you can control your phosphate level, a small amount of nitrates in your water would'nt matter much. You can try cutting down the photoperiod of your tank by a few hours and see if that slows down the growth of algae. If you have only fish and no corals...you might want to consider a tank blackout for 3 days.

  13. You want cheap hamsters like winterwhite i can get very cheap...few bucks for one only... I get them once every week or so.
