  1. Erm...my tank is 4 feet alright..but width onli 1.5 ft....water height onli 15 inches... Wun a 6080 like create a sandstorm?
  2. Hmmmm...as above... Willing to trade with my corals too....
  3. You need strong smelling stuff to entice sea fans to open Try cyclopeeze...or blended market prawn.
  4. It's those $3 scallops you find in reb*rn.
  5. $229 is'nt really expensive..considering it can last you for maybe your entire reef-keeping life....and even if sold 2nd hand it still has alot of value...And with that price...it's about the price of 4-6 acro colonies...very reasonable in the long run if you ask me....
  6. I use alot of rowaphos..expensive but oh well...
  7. My tank is forever laden with diatoms because I change water so often..using tapwater....so the diatoms forever have silicates to consume.. I've grown to learn to live with diatoms...since copepods feed on them...and I LOVE copepods.
  8. Cold water? Mine is at a constant 28 degrees..dun see it having any problems.
  9. wow.....you just do about anything for your sps huh....
  10. Just wondering..which part of the U.S are you from?
  11. So far i only added one test vial full..not sure how much to add..the dosing instructions just seem so complex. I quote 'Each level measuring beaker will increase the magnesium concentration of 10 liter(2.5 gallons) of water with approx. 300mg/l (ppm)' Hmm...so if my tank is around 200 liters and I want to increased Mg conc. by 300 ppm...then I must add 20 measuring beakers of salt?! That sounds ALOT to me..thats why till now I only added 1 beaker....
  12. wow...awesome. Wow...3 tanks..that takes alot of effort to keep every single one in such tip top condition. Well done!
  13. Well..their display tank looks aesthetically pleasing to my eyes.. As for the price...I am not in any position to comment as I have no idea of what equipment and of what brand they are using... Prices will always vary from place to place depending on cost price and profit margins...you will have to look around for yourself to determine which is a better buy.
  14. Hmmm..jsoon nice meeting you at roxy the other day.. How's the pyjama wrasse doing?
  15. It is?! I dunno,..thank goodness I only needed to add about 1 small vial full.
  16. Morays are not blind....however, they rely more on their sense of smell while hunting. Their acute olfactory sense helps them to sense prey while it is dark..many morays forage during the night. Why do you think parrotfishes sleep in a cocoon of mucus? To prevent the morays from sniffing them out.
  17. Buy a test kit and test your kH...kH is crucial to prevent pH drops. Did you take note of the time you measure your pH? pH levels are lowest during early morning before lights are on...pH levels tend to be highest just before lights off... You can consider dosing kalkwasser to prevent pH drops during the night. Check the stocking of your tank..overstocking can lead to low pH levels too.. LPS tend to prefer meaty foods like mysis...DT phyto is mainly for filter-feeding organisms like tubeworms, scallops, clams etc.
  18. AT...you have the glib of a lawyer.
  19. Bubble no need feed that often one la...mine recovered from bleaching without feeding..again it might be pure luck..but I only started feeding it cause I had too much time in my hands...out of the 2 years it has been with me..it went 1.5 years without target feeding.
  20. Just get Salifert's magnesium powder. Quite cheap. Around $12++ onli. I rather add that..than to use epsom salt..not sure what extra sulphates will cause......
  21. I've had my bubble turn white..then went brown..and back to green. Rather a bullet proof LPS if you ask me. Just keep water parameters stable and all should go well..
