  1. Hi...I was wondering whether do T5s actually warm up like MH lights? I just noticed my Aquablues switch on..and the tank has a slight pinkish look.... During later part of the day...the tank looks more whitish. Is this normal or are my eyes playing tricks on me?
  2. Nope..referring to the one you got from me... Is yours the smaller of the 2 that DeepBlue got? If it is then it was the one I initially planned to keep.
  3. 1 green maze available for $15 1 brownish-red moon coral (pic in page 1)...it has colored up over the 'bleached' portions already... - $25 1 XL size (face size) cup coral (polyps extending) - $25 2 pcs palm size monti cap (1 pc is encrusted on rock) - $10 each (both reserved) Rest still available..you can wait till tomorrow..and i will post the pics around 3-4pm.
  4. Danano...show a pic of before n after of the monti cap?
  5. Fish breathing heavily... if you rule out ammonia poisoning and rule out heavy metal poisoning and rule out disease (ich) and rule out insufficient dissolved oxygen (rare) and rule out pH problems (since your other fishes are alright) I can't think of anymore besides trouble with osmoregulation. Try the firegobies at PR..those are very healthy..get 1 to start off with. Slowly acclimatize it to your water...replace 20% of the bags water with your tank water. Do it every 15 mins for 1 hour. After that slowly introduce the fish. If it still breathes heavily then I'm dumbfounded already...
  6. AHhaha..yea...AT knows me so well.. simply because i saw them pecking at stuff in the water...so I thought I would just try them out..so got 2 smaller size ones cause I think they would adapt better...starting got whitespot..but they recovered..after being fed garlic soaked food everyday. Din know they were the hardest anthias to keep..hai...been with me for 2 weeks already..coming to 3 weeks...still to early to know if they will survive...well..hope the mysis keeps them full and fat..
  7. Due to flying kite..I still have... 1 green maze available for $15 1 brownish-red moon coral (pic in page 1)...it has colored up over the 'bleached' portions already... - $25 1 XL size (face size) cup coral (polyps extending) - $25 2 pcs palm size monti cap (1 pc is encrusted on rock) - $10 each Pm me to arrange viewing anytime this week on weekdays (before 7pm)...first come first serve. Urgent need to clear by friday. Thanks. Will post pics tomorrow..rather tired now.....
  8. Best you keep firegoby alone...I tried to keep 2 firegobies before..the one I have with me now slimpy wacked the daylights out of the other one. Check your specific gravity between your tank's water and that of the bag's water. There might be a big difference. Most people don't bother to do so... Introducing delicate fish from s.g of 1.020 into a tank with s.g of 1.025 without acclimatizing properly can stress a fish too. Other than the above...i cannot think of another reason why the firegobies are behaving that way...
  9. You don't slimpy starve them..you got to wean them. I started my 2 purple queens on newly hatched brine shrimp..then mixed in a lil of cyclops..then now both are taking mysis already. You won't believe where in the world i got my anthias from.
  10. Thanks for tolerance shown by fellow reefers and moderators for my big pics...din have chance to resize it as i was in a hurry just now. Will post left over pics tonight..this time i will shrink them. Anthony>>> your brain and maze still available. LinkinPark>>> your digitata still available.

  15. Gobies wun stress them. I am keeping 2...been with me for 2 weeks already. I started mine on baby brine shrimp...they go crazy over it. After a while you can start weaning them onto cyclops. Now one of them takes mysis...yay!
  16. Any meaty foods of marine origin would do. I feed during lights off..when they extend their tentacles...easier to feed then.
  17. Hmmm...I might be paranoid...but I think you might want to consider tying an extra string to the fan to ur lights for additional support just in case. I have this fan myself...have nightmares of it falling into my tank one day.
  18. Metal stands don't rust that fast. I had one which lasted me 10 years. But lucky I changed in time..coz I saw the foot disintegrating..and the tank tilting back..ahahha
  19. Initially first few weeks it was..but now settle down already...hardly clicks at all..but real cute..moving my sand around every day. It's hobby.
  20. Damn..wat a waste to crop such a nice pic.
  21. hmmmm..so guys..have pm you all already...pls contact me tomorrow after 12 noon to let me know if you are coming.....dun call b4 that..i wun be able to answer as i will be having lecture.
  22. Next time if i go back KL set up shop be assured there will be mysis! Anyway...seahorses and sea dragons don't eat cyclops...unless they are live. Where do you get sea dragons from anyway!?
