  1. Pasir Ris came in stocks today...Pacific marine had some rainfordis..long nose yellow butterflies (reef-safe to me at least).. Iwarna still have some clams and sps left over..although i found the price a lil too steep for not so healthy specimens.. Reefworld got blue stripe pipefish and banded pipefish spotted. Also flame angels. Alot of firegobies and purple firegobies The newer branch of pac. marine had firegobies. Cant remember the rest..had a long day..
  2. Hmm..no need to be worried excessively...I remember the last time Henry's black tang had ich..then came the secondary infections..Boils all over the poor fish's body..everyone thought it was dooomed. Amazingly it recovered!
  3. Nah..it's so viscous that it cannot even be frozen solid in the freezer.
  4. Argh..my precious blue sea squirt disappeared...could'nt find it for 2 days...should have epoxied the small pebble it was on onto a rock.. ..the last time i saw a big polychaete worm trying to pull the squirt into its hole..then i rescued it..2 days ago it dropped onto the sandbed..forgot to put it back on the rock...then next day try and find it and it vanished... Could'nt be my pistols..cause I already raided their burrows..
  5. Looks like edema in the eyes...such accumulation of body fluids below the tissue surface is quite a common symptom during epithelial infections. It will normally subside once the infection is cured. I suggest beefing it up with garlic until it recovers.
  6. Erm..did'nt taste that bad wat...only put one tiny drop on the tip of my tongue..my whole mouth tasted like plankton during dinner..
  7. It's $5 for one...anyway..any other ppl with SLF observed them munching down on coralline algae?
  8. If I'm not wrong it should be Alpheus parvirostris...I got one of those fellas in my tank too.
  9. I just found out that my sally lightfoots have been grazing down the coralline algae on the back glass wall of my tank..
  10. If your frag is rather flat based it's ok...Like a frag of mine..I just left it on a slab of liverock..now it has taken hold by itself..
  11. Yea...oh no..Kinda addicted to the smell already... My flaming scallops seem to be responding well..can see visible mantle excitement..hehe..
  12. Have you tried nori? Or maybe even ulva?
  13. Hmmm..tasted kind of sweet in the beginning..then felt slightly tingling..like a slight 'spicy' sensation..and after that a little seaweed bitterness...
  14. Won't it be good if the yellow ric could be fragged?
  15. I'm still puzzled what caused the heavy gill breathing in my yashias...my other gobies are fine..only those 2 affected.. Seems like the female passed it on to the male..since they were always sleeping together.. I'm left clueless now that both are gone..
  16. Hmmm..don't think its the salinity...skimming will be slightly less efficient if your salinity dropped....Any addition of anti-chlorine, buffers etc?
  17. Heh..will try tomorrow and give an update...I've tried cat food...nectar meant for birds..now maybe some phyto..oh yes...I mentioned taste..not ingest..
  18. The aquarium trade is here to stay for good....as it's a $$ churning market in singapore...
  19. Maybe it has something to due with the nature of the polyfilter and how it works? Maybe it's just the side effect when you begin using it..just like how nutrafin chlorine remover causes my skimmer to foam insanely..
  20. Okie..thanks for your kind reply...My tank has been up for close to a year already..Used about 1.5 squirts just now...all my shrimps really go crazy after smelling the stuff...actually it smells quite nice to me...I'm a seafood lover..very tempted to taste it..
  21. About 7-8 years ago...I saw on sale baby sea turtles...baby crocodiles.. Huge hammer corals for only $6-$8
  22. Hmm..how about converting a car into a marine aquarium?
