  1. Well..from the last time I dumped a $60+ bottle of rowa into my sump...seems to be working..no more diatom bloom. Still will have slight growths on the glass and sand though, especially after water change. But normally clears up after 2-3 days.
  2. Your bubble will have its a** stung by the carpet..
  3. Yep. It's normal to expand about twice their size. It's to do with how they move around in the wild. If they wanted to move they would expand till the maximum and make use of water currents to carry them across the sea floor.
  4. Use an overdose of rowaphos. No more diatoms for me.
  5. Hmm..okie..anyway..feel kind of special with the 10% thingy..
  6. OKie.. . Will try coralplankton out once my last exam over..
  7. Maybe they find that FuEl tank cannot be empty..so top up a little lor..
  8. So lucky to get reminded only...I the first person to kenna the warn thingy..when I din even have the chance to read the posted thread on the warn system...
  9. I pushed alot of sand for my jawfish to play with...only about 1-1.5 inches though. However it's able to build a deep enough burrow (his whole body can sit comfortably in it) due to positioning of liverock and many cobbles for him for construction purposes. My hermits only visit his shelter now..cause all the extra shells are with him.. He became the shell supplier.
  10. Think the owner is more busy with other commitments like education related stuff.
  11. Mine pulses even around 29 degrees celcius these few days. If I'm not wrong I read somewhere that a higher pH is recommended for xenias to retain their ability to pulse.
  12. blue spotted jawfish...Think will cost around the price of a helfrich..
  13. No...i was referring to the acclimatization when it just arrived in sg.
  14. I bought a yellow-head from there before. It did the same thing. I will only buy from ML in future. At least the jawfish he sells don't do the same thing. The 'jumping' at the surface is caused by improper acclimatization process. Don't put too much hope that the fish will survive..normally if it's doing that it will not survive.
  15. Well it will result in slight currents set up in the water column..
  16. When the tissue stops receding? and starts growing back?
  17. Many anemones will change the shape of their tentacles in captivity. It can be due to alot of factors like lighting, current, water conditions and even feeding. I read an article before regarding the feeding of bubble-tipped anemones. Bubble-tips in the wild feed on plankton sized prey. Offering them too big and too frequent a meal will lead to their tentacles going out of shape.
  18. Definitely its a parrotfish. Not reef safe as it will munch down your corals when it gets bigger. They can grow up to around 1 foot long.
  19. Bad idea IMO..its equivalent to adding citric acid into your tank. There are alot of other ways you can enrich your food with vitamin C
  20. Of cause it would...given good water conditions it will grow back on the dead skeleton. I've a blue tip acro that got stressed by my water problem last time..left only 2-3mm of flesh...now encrust back over the dead skeleton by about 3-4cm already.
  21. I would take it all if I drove...can't imagine lugging everything while on the bus and mrt.. later people think I garang guni man...
  22. Heard from someone that in NS..you either be somebody, or be nobody. Never get stuck in between.
  23. $15 each now? Last friday I went was.....*coughcough*...
  24. What's a sorpian blenny? Or you mean scooter blenny?
