  1. Full tank shot? Hehe..okie.. I dump all big liverock..go for small ones..that comes with the corals.. Left side...
  2. They help to clean up uneaten food..and shrimp larvae become free zooplankton for my corals...
  3. Going to get some yashias later. Anyone want me to help them handpick pairs? If you trust my handpicking skills of cause.. I don't mind getting for fellow reefers first as I'm free today but my transport costs will be added. Just pm me by 4.30pm.
  4. Hmmm..you might want to consider placing the pink plate on the sandbed...plate corals are found on sandbeds in nature.. I find brightly colored plates have the tendency to bleach if given too much light initially.. Just monitor it over the next few days..
  5. Nice durso standpipes...Do you have to regulate the air flow or something? I know for D.I.Y versions they suggest installing a control valve to control the air intake or something..
  6. It is possible to grow them under normal daylight FL tubes but you must have enough of them to reach high intensities and your clam must be only a few cm away from them. I would say at least 4-5 FL tubes over a clam. But then again...normal FL are quite wide in diameter and having so many can be a waste of electricity as only the ones directly above the clam provide the most light. It is best to invest in lighting like MH or at least T5s that can provide higher light intensities (as they are higher in PAR and you can fit more over a clam) directly over the clam..
  7. It helps..but you must frag it so that all infected areas are removed. Meaning you frag it way above the receding margin. But if the sps is already stressed in the first place and is undergoing rtn..fragging can only be said to be a 50/50 gamble to take...You either leave it and hope it stops or you frag it to know at least you attempted to save it... It's always best to frag a healthy coral.
  8. Hmmm...these available at Iwarna..tsktsk..
  9. Lots of treasures arrived today at Iwarna... 1) Sohals 2) Purple tangs 3) Orchid dottybacks... 4) Small size red sea butterflies.. 5) Some left over sps 6) Lots of beautiful bright orange yumas. Green yumas too 7) Pistol shrimps with the colouration of blood shrimps 8) plenty of blood shrimps and cleaner shrimps
  10. Forget to add that if they don't have enough shells they will end up fighting over shells...A cramped hermit might pull a small hermit out of a larger shell if it chooses to. Avoid mixing species..they might kill each other if not enough shells are present. I've had peaceful (at least to fish and most inverts) dwarf zebra hermits which I witnessed pull out small dull hermits (which I took from the beach) out of their shells and kill them.
  11. All hermits no matter how herbivorous in nature will attack snails if they do not have enough shells to accomodate their growth.. Just give lots of extra shells on the sandbed and they should leave your snails alone.
  12. K lah...pm me your price lor...I can always sell you back if you got cash to buy them back..
  13. Ok..will keep you in mind..
  14. Weaned them onto mysis yet? If so I don't mind trying..now I can keep alot of things which I can't in the past due to my setup..Now I can..
  15. Still available as some buyers try to lower the price further... Me not in urgent need to sell...so won't be lowering price..
  16. The reflectors are below the casing mounted onto the tubes already..
  17. Sounds like sweeper tentacles. They might be trying to sting something to make space available for future growth..
  18. If you have high phosphate levels it is best to change at least 50% of your water before using rowaphos or other phosphate absorption media so that you won't saturate the media that soon.
  19. 30 mins of foam...I just turned it on 30 mins ago.
  20. Here..pics for you guys..finally got my lazy bum moving..
