  1. Someone's clownfish breeding project. I saw more than 10 pairs of clowns...different species..
  2. T.gigas? Did'nt notice scutes on these..I guess the large one weighs more than me..
  3. Never seen such macroalgae before...
  4. Ah....you must show me when I return..
  5. No point trying to rear the larvae unless you are dedicated to. Their larval stages last over 100 days and they take a long time to settle.
  6. Fertilized eggs you will see them change in color over time. Just before the females have eggs you will notice that their heads contain some orangy (might be different color in some species) gelatinous mass. These are the eggs, which will then be stored at their pleopods. Fertilized eggs will be seen to change in color to a darker hue, mostly light brown and eye spots in the embryos can be seen just before hatching. Some species release the eggs just before they hatch while others hold on to them till they are stimulated to hatch all at the same time. I have worked with a freshwater prawn species, the berried female ate her own eggs somehow when it was just due to hatch in another day or 2. Eating of eggs could be due to broodstock hunger or maybe just a seasonality problem.
  7. Hmmm bwilly..how's your bro? Miss working at the hotel in orchard man...everyday can see chicks.
  8. Think the first one the common name is squat lobster? Not really a lobster of course..
  9. If I'm not wrong there will be a distributor at this Aquarama specializing in feeds like spirulina and cyclopeeze and microscopes. Think it's an Indonesian company if I did'nt remember wrongly. Cheaper to get your cyclopeeze directly from them. They've got both frozen and freeze-dried forms. As for the Rowaphos it might be cheaper to purchase a 5 kg tub and use it in the long run as it will work out cheaper. For Seio pumps you could try Petmart at Serangoon North. Hmmm....that's a long flight...hehe...do enjoy your shopping and watch out for the heat and humidity..
  10. Skimmate would vary depending on variables like bioload, temperature and vicosity of the water. Not accurate to compare different skimmers when they are running on different tanks. Just my opinion...
  11. Now we know whp started SARS.
  12. Eh..since when reborn started selling sps? The last time I only remember all brown & dying sps.
  13. Hmmm..the snake with the longest fangs. You would'nt want to get bitten by one of those..
  14. Hmm..Haha...never really into tarantulas..but my friend is breeding the Singapore Blue tarantula.. Hmm..Heloderma got 2 species..the only venomous lizards if I did'nt remember wrongly. Venom won't kill a healthy human though. Anyway, a pic of everyone's favourite gecko..the leopard gecko. My friend's pet..think it's either tangerine or super hypotangerine..I'm never good at differenciating morphs in leos.
  15. Mantella laevigata...from a fellow reefer years ago..*tsk tsk*
  16. In loving memory of...my babies.. D.leucomelas
  17. Dendrobates tinctorus (Citronella morph)
  18. Not lizards..but still poikilothermic friends..In loving memory...Dendrobates azureus
  19. Hmmm...I could have taken those photographs..but that does'nt imply that I kept them right? I could have taken them in the States or in Malaysia. Anyway, you want get such stuff in Sg it's not that hard. Even tarantulas are being bred, along with other animals in secret. You'll be shocked.
  20. Hmm..slight correction..clownfish do not secrete special chemicals that make them immune to anemone stings. The mucus coat is derived from the anemone itself. Bubble-tip anemones have the weakest of stings among the other anemones commonly available. Their main food in the wild is planktonic prey, not big chunks of food or even whole fish.
