  1. Hard to take photographs without the help of a microscope. The larvae don't seem to be growing as yet. See what happens. If this batch fails most probably in future I will feed the larvae microalgae. Online information is very often made out to mislead.
  2. H20 aquarium..I used to work there last time..can get staff price or not?
  3. Someone enlighten me? I'm kinda confused as to what is going on.
  4. Huh? What steamboat? The one at marina south? Don't think I will be going as I will be pespiring more than I eat. Oh yes, now the anemone is stuck on a small piece of eggcrate. So to position it just bury the eggcrate just below the sand.
  5. Wow..$10..and I thought the max. ppl will bid is only $5. But come to think of it, not everyday you come across such a small carpet anemone that can't eat most fishes since it's so small.
  6. In the topic already mah. The size of 20 cent coin. Great for nano tanks.
  7. 2ft D.E Lights 4X 24W (2 Aqualight 10,000K and 2 Aqualight coralblue). Waterproof encaps mounted into industrial grade aluminium casing with inbuilt E.ballasts. Has 2 plugs and each plug controls 2 set of tubes. One of the first prototypes produced by DE lightings. Currently without reflectors but reflectors with plastic clips can be purchased from DE lightings. Looking to trade preferably for a ATI-twinfix or other twinfix that is 4ft long. Will throw in about 4 extra Aquaz T5 tubes and will do top up if necessary.
  8. Hmm..the one and only mini carpet anemone I have. Some people mistook it for a ric.
  9. They eat coralline algae once other algae is finished. Good for saving you $ for calcium media for your calcium reactor or for your calcium additives.
  10. About 1 hr later. Amazed that the polyps open up at night, had to turn on my lights to take the photo.
  11. Not sure how much to let this guy off for. I'll start the bid at $0.20 Bid will end @ 2 am on 20th Jan 2006.
  12. Only left....... 4-5 inch purple carpet anemone. $35 (Really can't go lower, if not friend will hantum me). Urchin, cardinalfish. 2 rocks of pink zoanthids - $20 each or $35 for both. Each pc is around hand size.
  13. Close up of some polyps that are starting to open at the bottom. The cup coral is sitting on a plastic stand courtesy of pizza hut. Looks like feeding my tank rotifers will be a daily practice now.
  14. Hmm..maybe should have put this thread under LPS section instead. If any mods think it would be a better choice I will support their decision. Anyway, look what happened after I dumped a liter of rotifers into my tank. Polyps beginning to extend.
  15. Probably just bacterial film. Rather harmless unless you are rearing larvae.
  16. Hmm, think you could take 197 from Marine Parade Rd and alight at Lavender Mrt and walk in? Not that far.
  17. The female is huge, the size of my thumb. Now will have harlequin larvae every 3 weeks or so..
  18. Hehe..actually my second batch of babies. Parents from Marinelife...actually spawned 2-3 days after I got them. Now spawn again, think got few thousand larvae. Really fertile!
  19. Not a very clear pic, will take a better pic if they grow. Currently at 2 days..seem to have a lot of yolk reserves.
  20. Armed with experience with both cleaner and blood shrimps, now attempting to get maximal survival with peppermint shrimp. Sorry for poor pic but no microscope to help me with photos now. Now at zoea III with hardly any deaths.
  21. Polyps not opening yet, but the coral still seems to be doing fine.
  22. Both 2 inch fluorescent green carpet anemones sold~ Left 1 palm sized green carpet anemone and one 4-5 inch purple carpet anemone. Urchin and cardinalfish still available. Pink zoanthids still available.
  23. Lowest price I can give for the purple carpet - $35. 2 rocks of pink zoanthids still available. $25 each. Rest still available. Viewing in marine parade.
  24. Are you sure those nylon coffee filters work? My rotifers pass right through it.. Only get caught by paper coffee filters
  25. If your tank is relatively new it's normal for the sea cucumbers to find food on your tank walls as the sand might not have sufficient food for them as yet.
