  1. Still available. Potential buyer should have nitrate levels below 10 ppm.
  2. 1 of them is a male. As for the other one, I'm not really sure. Greedy buggers, eating anything from cyclopeeze to live brine shrimp to chopped squid/prawns. Disease free, my tanks are ichless. Asking $30 per pc. Interested parties pm me.
  3. Sea Life: Brazilian grammas (not royal grammas), yellow-head jawfish, african flameback angel, etc. Coralfarm: No peppermint shrimps (Either Lysmata zacae or or L. intermedia as identified by the guy). Gnathophyllum americanum aka bumblebee shrimps. Decorator crabs. Nice looking Saron shrimp (purple). LCK 110: Lysmata debelius (blood shrimps), Thor amboinensis (###### shrimps). And hidden gems.
  4. Oh yes, 1 healthy Linckia easily lasts up to 2-3 weeks. If they melt away before that either the sea star is unhealthy to begin with or it's your water conditions. I find larger shrimp more stable. From what I've experienced, smaller individuals are more sensitive.
  5. Photo of the H. elegans pair. Female on right. Linckia shown is slightly bigger than palm size. Been with me for more than 2 months, very stable already. Maintained in 36 ppt salinity, <0.5 ppm nitrate levels. $58 nett.
  6. Large giant adults. The female is about thumb size, with the male being only slightly smaller. Good pair for breeding attempts. Selling the pair for only $58, inclusive of a blue linckia I just fed them yesterday. Interested parties pm me to view. Won't be disappointed.
  7. Long time no see.. You can try Rio Hyperflow 26 or 32. Price is rather attractive.
  8. Harlequin is at Cavan Rd. Onan rd is around dunman food centre.
  9. Tarantulas can kill a human with a single bite. If you happen to be the size of a mouse. Or if you can get a heart attack just by looking at one.
  10. Depends on what media you are using in your CR. ARM should be fine, as it also contains magnesium and other trace elements like strontium. It is only when you maintain your Ca and kH levels predominantly/solely using kalkwasser. Kalkwasser contains miniscule amounts of Mg and very often the Mg is precipitated out by the resultant high pH of kalkwasser solution. Thus dosing kalkwasser in the long run will lead to Mg deficiency, if Mg levels are not monitored and adjusted. Not sure about the optimum Mg level, but I prefer to keep it at 1500 ppm.
  11. Most common mistake is to throw it away if it became "bald" or is dropping polyps. Xenia can regenerate very easily, even from a single polyp.
  12. All are very close to orchard. Singapore's a very small place.
  13. http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?...opic=43985&st=0 Took the risk 1 month ago, till now the color retains and it's polyps do extend. Pls note it only looks so blue in the photograph. It looks more turquoise under the ###### eye, and dull green when taken out of the water. As such the coral is not dyed, but the coloration is a result of zooxanthellae pigments. I bought this piece from Golden Octopus @ $50 flat. As such, the starting bid will be $50. Minimum increment by $1, no increments by cents. Bid will close at 2 am, 9th Feb 2006.
  14. 1 Astropyga radiata urchin (bought from ML, body about 2 inches across excluding spines) - $10 1 Apogon margaritophorus aka Chequered cardinalfish - $5 1 orange-beige tube anemone (body buried in a glass bottle) - $15
  15. 38 baby peppermint shrimps as of tonight.
  16. Time management. Do this during daytime. Night time enjoy nightlife.
  17. If you are using a DSB it might be due to hydrogen sulphide release, which causes pH drop. If there are alot of suspended solids in your water it might be affecting dissolved oxygen levels. Increasing aeration or even dosing ozone should help.
  18. The peppermints have landed! Now waiting for the rest to follow within these few days.
  19. Contestant #3 White-Barred Boxfish might be coming to town...not so soon though.. Can start saving up.. One more contestant...for monster tanks..the Wobbegong.
