  1. Came across this today. Apparently the article states that darker corals are more susceptible to bleaching since they absorb more heat. As such water flow is apparently more crucial to darker corals to remove heat buildup. Any thoughts on this? Especially by SPS keepers?
  2. .......................................
  3. There was a thread somewhere in RC (I think) that mentioned something about gonioporas benefiting from tang poop.
  4. Tentatively reserved. Thanks for all interest shown.
  5. Hmmm..purple boxer = Stenopus tenuirostris? If so it's actually one of the smallest species of boxing shrimp and actually quite peaceful. I have kept one with 1-2cm gobies before without much problems. Sometimes aggression is linked to lack of territory, could be the case if your tank is quite small or the stocking density is quite high.
  6. Cute shrimps for nano tanks, maximum size up to 3 cm (According to Crustacea of the Word by Helmut Debelius). Associated with echinoderms in nature, but seem to do fine without such hosts in captivity (like clownfishes and anemones). Have maintained them solely on blended seafood mix. Letting off my pair for $15. For more information: http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Di...cfm?pCatId=1969
  7. Try finely chopped prawns and mussels. Few fish can resist the smell.
  8. It's my water parameters. I have kept sps before under 20 ppm nitrates, but as for all corals of course the lower nitrate levels would be better.
  9. Each time you all go spend how much? I need to have a guage first.
  10. K la next time I join..but will be on budget.
  11. I'm just maintaining it under 2X24W Aqualight T5s. Seem to be good enough. Water conditions: Nitrate < 0.5 ppm, Salinity = 36 ppt, kH & pH : never tested. Color is retaining.
  12. Wow generated so many comments. Anyway going overseas to continue my studies, have to let it go before it dies in the hands of my sis. http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=45050
  13. When you all going again? There can make it one or not?
  14. $50 nett, first come first serve. If not put in my friend's tank to coralsit already.
  15. Best price $50. The Linckia I throw in F.O.C. Priority will be given to those who have good water quality.
  16. Monti cap and zoanthids still available. Pm me if interested.
