  4. oops. I guess you already know the answer... those are high cost spare parts..
  5. Piangz, you are really the king of DIY! True, the parts from Artica is very expensive but which parts are faulty in your 1/15? The parts I have changed out was the fan and controller which i 'think' can be DIY too by repairing ourselves or source for our own pars. Maybe will save u more trouble? I also think the TEM will be more power hungry and may be less efficient. but then again, your idea is really good! would be camping here
  6. I love the size and cabinet design. Really nice white colour. Camping here liao
  7. Salute! Don't think I can achieve such great coordination if it was me.
  8. No leh, I clean it once it's half full. Just happened that I played with the settings 2 days ago when I changed water. Itchy hand. Hehe
  9. Thanks bro! Wah ok swee! don't poison me too much leh, I'm low budget one. haha Thanks! Yup, same scape. Thanks for all the encouragements! After posting the update yesterday.... I went back home and realised my skimmer overflowed! Saltwater all over my parquet..... alot of mishap month for my tank
  10. Hi bro, sent you PM on the tank. Kindly contact me at 9one88995one thanks
  11. Just realized my tank is already 1 year old. Recently had a mini crash I think, didn't know what happened. Suddenly some of my favorite zoas melted and my bird nest lost it's colour. I'm thinking my NO3 shot up as I didnt change water as frequent. My biopellet was stuck for months and I didnt have time to rectify. Return pump and chiller spoiled. Burnt a big hole in my pocket. I was super busy due to my family's new addition but it's all worth it! Well I am still enjoying this hobby. Hope I can upgrade a bigger tank in future.... but that will depends if I am moving to a bigger place Huat ah!! Current FTS: 1 year ago FTS:
  12. Give you another excuse to buy new toy mah!
  13. Wah piangz very neat and good looking. Using the given stands too flimsy for two Pharos. Upz for u!
  14. Another idea is to get second hand from buynsell
  15. another Pharos user! May I know how did you mount both the lights together? From your pictures, it seems that you mounted them on another material? I also planning a size like yours but in 3ft length... dunno when can it come true btw, do u need 3000L pump for biopellet? a bit overkill leh can u PM me your skimmer pricing?
  16. if the price factoring the shipping cost isn't much different, why not get it from Madpetz. You will get support if it turns out faulty and I am sure Madpetz will help you out. Fish-street is good but if the item gets damaged in transit, it is going to be very troublesome for ya... my 2cents
  17. So far so good, the readings are quite good. Just that I'm a little too noob. When I get 1.025 on my pinpoint salinity this test meter is 1.023. Dunno which one is not calibrated. No time to test it out.
  18. Update: 2 weeks and counting. Pellets are tumbling well. Very good mod!
  19. Sounds good, I think this will work. Now got to find a suitable size drill bit Thanks bro, will consider this option too That is another option too! It seems that this container was designed to be used this manner. Haven't need to extend a hose from it thou, else will spill big time. I think

Another LFS that has very competitive pricing would be Nanyang Seaview.
  21. You can try using custom white balance by using a grey card or a white balance cap. I guess it would be easier correcting it from the start then to edit them individually through digital editing.
  22. Here you go, it's a 20L type. I am researching online, it seems there are some bulkhead that can 'self' screw on but mostly in US website. I thought of applying heavily on silicon, but I think silicon isn't good with plastics
  23. Hi DIY Gurus, I am think of modifying my water container with a add on water faucet for ease of extracting water out into my tank during water change. Shown in the picture below The problem is my container is those typical dosing container which has small opening which I can't access the inside and seal it off. If I use epoxy, not sure if it is good for water or if it is poisonous Need to ensure water won't leak and the sealant used is not harmful.... thinking of using a bulkhead fitting but no way I can access from inside to tighten it Need some ideas please. Thanks
