I'm planning to add some more SPS into the rockscape thats why theres a lot of space i left untouched. Also bought a tunze skimmer thats on it way in a few days time.
Not gonna add fishes for time being anymore until i finish with coral introduction.
A cup coral with pinkish tentacles when fully open plus the luminous green muchrooms (about 20 heads around a rock) behind the cup both picked as well hehe
Heres the corals i managed to get at low tide where i work .
This piece seems like Gonio but has short tentacles when fully stretched and is totally dark luminous green. Never seen anyone owning this nor being sold can anyone identify it?
Anemone got pricked by my urchin stuck below it (also dunno how it got below), realsed toxins and killed 6 fishes 3 corals.
After changing 3/4 of water and throwing the dead paremeters went back to stable.
Heres some pics after major rescaping, managed to catch out the 2 bully damsels i had. Replenished some corals i managed to pick at low tide at the island i work at. (Made me wonder why i spent money buying during the first few weeks i started the tank)
turn off ur wave maker, cut an empty softdrink bottle into half( 1litre type or anything big enuf to cover the colony). Sprinkle some brineshrimp all over the sun heads and cover. They should open up in a matter of minutes to feed. Do this for a few days with the exact same time u want them to be trained to open.
U still need to target feed when they trained to open FYI cos usuallu the wavemakers too strong and they cant grap much food floating.
I sibei disheartened now bro jervis, my sea urchin somehow got under the stem of my anemone and attacked it causing the anemone to release toxins. 6 fishes died and 3 corals dead. Sianz ... water change and some corals i picked from the island i work at got things back into perspective. Btw i live pretty close ya, i'm at Ave 6 only a few blocks from u. Lim kopi with ya sometime ... happy for ur progress ~
As long as u got space to put ur skimmer in the middle theres no need to spend more money modding ur sump tank. The skimmer must be good enuf(usually buy oversize wont go wrong). Then u might want to get an FR dispensor thats loaded with Rhowaphos to absorb water nutrients to control algae growth. Denitrifier not necessary if u change water often.
