Nice to see ur tank getting together nicely bro been a while, hows ur baby doing?

Also when u buy new fish or corals remember dont just pour the water from the bag into the tank, put the bag into the tank if its not too big let fish get used to your tank's temperature. Then pour bag into a container, turn off ur wavemaker, catch out the fish put it gently into water. Of cos the better way would always be to quarantine the new fish first and medicate to prevent any diseases from entering your main tank but thats if u have a quarantine tank of clean mature water. For now dont buy any fish bro (at least no tangs),another tip is to buy fishes from fellow reefers as the fishes have already build up their immune system so are more hardy than newer fishes from the shops, patience is key in this hobby.

Yes the LED penetrates to the bottom of tank no problem at all, my unit also sits about 20cm above water surface. How u play with the 4 diff grps of LEDs also important. My timers are set as follows :- 9am - 2335pm > All 3w blues and violets 9.30 - 1800pm > All 3w whites 11am - 1730pm > 2x 30w whites 11.30am - 1630pm > Another 2x 30w whites (All turned on basically during this duration)

I'll take both lah if still available. Can collect tonight after 11pm. Terence

I think u got a slight misconception bout LEDs, doesnt mean ur T5 total 80w means u need 80w worth of LEDs. High intensity 3w LEDs(In some cases 30w per LED)are able to produce higher brightness thus needing lesser wattage to give the same brightness as 80w worth of T5. I just upgraded from using 250w MH plus 3 x 39w T5s (total = 367w) to a 230w maxspect LED set, let me just say that the LED set is almost twice as bright with all colors on(exact par comparison u can google the diff brands of LED lightings). And yes the chiller isnt working so hard anymore. Therefore i save on electricity bill for both the chiller working less and lesser total wattage on lightings. Also an improtant factor in determining how high wattage an LED set u need is wat type of corals u r keeping, if its SPS then u'll need the sets that have 30w LEDs mixed with the 3w LEDs in most cases. Its often the case of the start up costs for LED lightings which in the long run u'll earn the money back so to speak. And oh, u'll love the rippling effect from the LEDs. Hope this helps .... P/S : If u check on the older threads u should be able to find sufficient info bout LEDs, I'm no expert hehe just giving humble experiences.

G.O. or Iwarna brings them in from time to time. 1 blue to 2 blue notes depending on color and stock. Nice tank btw, love the balance of colors.

I put number of spoons according to the severity of the slime growth, the product instuctions dosage is just a rough guide in my opinion (since they're not at ur home to access), most importantly u dont know how ur corals n fish would react if u put too much. Generally once u see a light yellow tint in ur water its enuf. The red slime comes back after treatment usually its cos of something u been dosing too much(like amino acids or vitamins) or the water u're using for water changes isn't free of insolubles.

i'll take #15, can collect late Sunday or Monday night between 10-11 plus if thats alright. Terence 97373800 -
I've used this product many times already, just turn off skimmer for half a day after application, for my 3ft tank i used 2 spoonfulls (spoon provided by product) and mixed it with water and let it drip slowly from a DIY dosing bottle made from a 1L softdrink bottle. This is so that ur livestock doesnt get shocked by the sudden introduction of foreign chemicals. When u turn ur skimmer back on rem to adjust skimming to dryer(lower foam mark) as it'll go crazy and start overflowing with yellow foam. U only need to dose once btw and the algae should start turning pale and die off in 2-3 days in some cases 1 day only. Once ur skimmer stop producing yellow skimmate, change 1/4 of ur water. Dont use tap water hor nor dose trace elements for a few days to be sure the algae dont respawn. Hope this helps ... P/S : If u got clams i recommend dosing half of wats recommended and monitor.
