    LED Panel

Thanks bro sherman n jameshong for clarifying, yeah less than 1V wont work especially since i'm keeping sps.
  2. I did almost the same thing for my CL650 except i used a much smaller fan, think 5" one from resun, also linked it to my MH timer to turn on only when day lights are on, been running 2 mths constant already, electricity bill went down $30.

Hey bro Sherman what u think bout this product? http://www.azoopalm.com/the-perfect-led-de...t-new-for-2008/ Relatively cheap but i am trying to find the distributor in sg.
  4. magnesium must test oso bro, n boost the KH up a little more to about 8~9. Good choice on the lightings, MH bulb how old and wat spectrum? 10k 12k or 20k?
  5. I'll take the milli colony of the last pic. Green stag i will have to see in person if its too big for my tank as the shape of it seems to grow at all angle kindof hard to place in my space limited tank. Terence 97373800
  6. The vortex pumps are very quiet lah dont worry, thats why so ex.
  7. Me oso Rowaphos supportor leh haha, only down side always turn water brownish when refilling so must rinse couple of times.
  8. Wah nice, gonna run ROWAPHOS or Sorb4 in it?
  9. Good choice on having the overflow box outside the main tank bro ... scaping would be much easier n nicer.
  10. If u r using a CR with a single chamber likely ur KH is gonna drop, buy a second chamber if u can afford it the final output should be more high in KH and more stable. For me i just use the KH tester kit mthly and dose 'super' KH buffer(Kent Marine brand) til the desired lvl. When u keeping LPS corals the calcium/magnesium/KH lvls shouldnt drop much as they dont consume much as compared to sps. But like i said earlier try practising to maintain them at the sps required lvls then when u confident they stable u can start sps.
  11. Pink birdnest i aqquired a mth back, growing like crazy
  12. Testing out new camera's quality ... my big bully in its nest plus some pics from the zoo
  13. Besides what the other bros have said about the 250watt MH heres my take on using it, a few species of LPS are gonna bleach (means from being colourful they turn pale). I know becos i am using the same 250watt 12k reeflux bulb setup. I lost a few expensive LPSes and they were placed at sandbed lvl yet also bleach. If for the time being u are keeping LPS and still want to use the MH i suggest using 20k bulb which u will love as it carries a more bluish spectrum which will bring out the colours for LPS. Also to add, since u wont be keeping sps yet anytime soon then take this opportunity to see if u can maintain nitrate(zero-5ppm) /KH (8-10). These 2 parameters are the most crucial in sps keeping, for LPS not so crucial but like i've said take this opportunity to practise maintaining these 2, if u can do it then sps wont be a problem. For magnesium/calcium lvls i beliv since u r gonna use a CR they wont pose much problems to u.
  14. Pictures would help, and i'll like to add that since u say u have insufficient lighting u have a matter of 2-5 days to sell them off b4 they turn brown or STN.
  15. The tank u linked is dominated by sps corals, pls make sure u do a proper research on upkeeping sps b4 u end up disappointed. My advice is work on ur equipment first worry about stocking corals/fish later. A tip ... sps keeping requires frequent water changes (weekly) unless u r going for very highend automated equipment. Have fun and good luck~
  16. How often u change water? What brand u using for salt? I have more sps than u but i have never had problems with calcium nor a need to start using back my CR.
  17. Go buy PH 7.0 buffer calibration fluid (mine Dymax brand), about 10 bucks. Then calibrate ur ph probe so that its accurate, this has to be done every 6mths or whenever u change media btw. If u dont calibrate the probe the CR will not function as intended n it may screw up ur water stability. When calibrating make sure the PH controller is set to read hor, not the PH setting (u set to 6.6 that one) position. After calibrating wash the tip of probe with clean water, fluid is poisonous. Also does ur CR come with a 2nd chamber, if not then just get a container with some small rocks or chips n let the CR output drip over the rocks/chips otherwise ur KH will go crazy. Use CR dont really need to use KR btw as long as ur CR got 2nd chamber/DIY secondary media container to stabilise KH. Personally i've stopped using a CR, balling method much easier n peace of mind. CRs need to tune quite often as over time the tubings either choke or leak. Oh yah, CO2 supply valve crack open a bit can liao dont fully open, the high pressure will burst ur tubings sooner or later. Bubble adjustment ... tune to every sec 1 bubble in the bubble counter unless u keep lots of sps then tune faster 2 per sec. Any questions can just call me u got my number right? Hope this helps have fun bro~
  18. Do u monitor water paremeters? From your latest FTS i can tell theres insufficent calcium n likely magnesium which is critical for sps keeping. KH must be kept between 8-12 n nitrates as close to zero as possible.
  19. Use a water heater maintain at 32 degrees plus lower salinity to about 1.016 plus ich medication can liao, unless ur QT got corals then bopianz ...
  20. I want the powder blue and sailfin tangs, Terence 97373800
  21. 150 or 250 watts? Any salt splatter stains on the reflector?
  22. I bought 2 of each at JK aquamarin lastweek should still have afew more.
  23. Upz for u bro btw the sohal u sold me has grown an inch more since n is a real terror haha
  24. U wanna decom then advice wat dont mind me saying .... for the fishes u can just get an airpump to keep them alive they dont need a chiller nor return pump to stay alive til u decide wat u want to do.
