  1. Your corals just keep growing and growing!!! Problem is... in a couple of months, I expect that you'll be faced with the difficult decision to either upgrade to a larger tank or carry out a major fragging exercise. Either way, do let me know if you need a hand...
  2. Thanks again everyone! Ajeb, some of SRC's sponsors carry T5s. They typically come in various configurations. Check them out here... http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?c=11
  3. :paiseh: You've got a pretty amazing mixed reef tank DeepBlue, and it just keeps getting better! Where will your tangs go when you move to a smaller setup? Your planned FOWLR?
  4. Let me know if you need some help... Btw, how the pinkish colour of the hyacinthus holding up?
  5. Nice pics and growth! Do show us a full tank pic...
  6. yah, i was gonna wait for a small AT then I saw the LT and thought... hmmm... and then , wow!! Unique!!! Did some research first of course. And the colour improves with age/size. So that's pretty much it as far as tangs are concerned... 3 small ones (abt 3" each) for my 4ft... a purple, a kole and a lieutenant. Dan
  7. How about we give Roidan an honorary SRC "title" to go along with his avatar?

  12. Remove the monti and crush/mince those nasty nudis with a small screw driver. Rinse the monti in a container with water from your tank before reintroducing the monti into your tank. Place the monti near the front of the tank where all sides are visible. Monitor closely over the next 6 to 8 weeks. Where did you get the monti from?
  13. Kole looking for a good home. An excellent algae grazer/eater. I bought 2 from LCK about a month ago and am parting with one. In the process of decomissioning my 2ft tanks. Collect tonight and I'll take off $10. I stay near Courts Bukit Timah/Beauty World. Pls PM me with your mobile # if interested. Dan
  14. $25. Collect tonight and enjoy a $5 discount plus get a pajama cardinal FOC. Pls PM me if interested. Dan
  15. it's called visualising... LCK has some cured tonga-type LR. There may be some large ones left.
  16. Here are some criteria for me to decide: 1) Is AquaZ T5 same bright as ATI T5? ATI T5s are proven to be effective. 2) Is 4 T5 produce less heat than 1 150W MH? T5s radiate less heat and the chiller doesn't have to work as hard. 3) I like the ripple effect created by single point MH but hate the heat produced by MH. I like the ripple effect too but heat was the overriding factor, that's why I went with T5s. 4) Prices between 150w MH set and 4 T5 set. T5 set may be more expensive.
  17. you can always get a large tub and store them first... you just need a powerhead for circulation... I presume the LR are fully cured, and that's a big plus.
  18. Alfa, very nice tank and I see lots of open spaces for more corals. One the walls, on both sides, you can get/attach monti caps and table acros. It was nice meeting you and your wife over the weekend.
  19. Thanks Scarab et al! Scarab... it's now your tank that will inspire my new 4ft.
  20. TAKE EVERYTHING FOR $350. Will throw in a hang-on filter and 1 or 2 powerheads FOC. And when "your" tank is setup and ready, will pass you a few starter frags too. *NOTE: 25-30kg of fully-cured quality LR from Fiji and Vanuatu (price at LFS is typically $16-18 per kg). LS="Live Sand". Pls PM me if interested. Priority will be given to those taking the complete setup. Thanks, Dan
  21. Scarab, beware of the "Al-Frag-Ya fundamentalist" a/k/a Joe_P
