Thanks everyone! Fuel... if you do succumb to the temptation, do keep in mind that it'll be at least 6 months before your tank is ready for sps and clams... and that's assuming all your water parameters are optimal plus lighting and circulation adequate.

Here's a pic I took a few months ago of my clams in the nano... featured this month in Reefkeeping online magazine http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2003-09/reef...lides/index.htm

Thanks for the kind words all! I would just like to say that keeping a nano is extremely challenging and I literally sleep on it in order to maintain it. Merlion, you should be able to find Marine Snow in several marine fish shops around the island. I got mine from Marine Life in Clementi area and the LFS in Bukit Timah Shopping Centre. I have seen other LFS carry it as well. I remember seeing it at Pet Mart in Serangoon North as well.

Simply awesome AT! Now it's time to sit back, relax and watch those babies grow and colour-up.

My Teco TW4 brought the temp down in my 30g tank (plus 12g sump) from 28C to 26C in less than 2 hours! Simply awesome... now I can start thinking MH

Clementi 328 - 6 Footer Tank
danano replied to jsoon's topic in Weekly LFS Stocks Report / LFS Info Centre
I was there this evening... in the tank is a 6" brown tang as well. -
It's only effective for tanks less than 20g (<2ft). Much also depends on ambient temp and humidity.... and the number of powerheads and lights/watts. The iceprobe lowers the temp about 2 degrees in my nano.

Hey Steno... my 30g is coming along nicely I plan to add a chiller this weekend... bring the temp down from 29C to 26C. Razo, you will find pics in the sps forum.

Sold... thanks. I have replied to all your PMs.

SCWD $60. Eden228 $30. Bought both several weeks ago from fellow reefers but ended up not using them. Good condition. SCWD hardly used and Eden used 6 months by previous owner. PM me if interested.

Help, Shrimp Eating Away My Acro Tissue
danano replied to Mellow's topic in SPS and Advanced Reefkeepers Forum
If it's hairy, it's likely that it's the culprit. -
I perform water changes every two to three weeks. I dose daily.

Thanks Golden Tooth, DeepBlue. Setup excluding live stock will probably set you back about $600+-.

Help, Shrimp Eating Away My Acro Tissue
danano replied to Mellow's topic in SPS and Advanced Reefkeepers Forum
I have a shrimp similar to the one you describe. Quite small, nor more than half an inch. It lives in one of my acro colonies and does no harm. I would leave it alone. However, if you are still keen on getting rid of it, pls let me know. I'd be happy to take it off your hands. -
Actually, it's not a 2ft. It's only 20 inches

Thanks Nik! All the best with your nano. Where are you based?
