  1. this pic shows the colour of the pastel purple monti a little better... body and polyps are are light purple
  2. pastel purple encrusting monti in the background... and tricolour frags... colouring up nicely under T5s notice the three tiny branches sprouting to the left of the frags... it's from an encrusting staghorn base (green coralites/body with blue tips)
  3. My 30g is now fully stocked, well almost ... a slightly overexposed shot of the tank.
  4. the algae is actually on the glass... I haven't been very diligent with cleaning the glass near the edges and corners
  5. fellas! Here's an updated pic hot off the press...
  6. Please respect this forum, its members as well as sponsors. That's all folks... THE END
  7. Fuel, it was nice meeting you too! Yes, it was great meeting everyone at the BBQ and putting faces to names.
  8. circulation and more swimming area... that's just my view
  9. Except for the wall on the left side, none of the LR lean against the glass. Even at the rear, the fish can swim thru.
  10. Is this a commercial or private sale?
  11. Thanks Sharkbait! Ancelot, Pseudochromis Fridmani are also known as Orchid Dottyback. Overflow box is DIYed. It's 2'x1.5'x1.5'... glass is 6mm thick.
  12. ... you're so funny! Keep a look out, ML may bring them in again in the future. They are absolutely awesome fish! You'll be first in line if I'm able to breed them
  13. 1.5" purple tang ... deep blue body with yellow tail. Eating well from the start!
  14. orchid dottyback playing in the lagoon
  15. Moved some stuff over from my 10g today... used up a whole tube of super glue gel!
  16. Ancelot... unfortunately I can't, my 10g nano sits in front of the sump. Thanks Seahorse! Stingray, my T5s rest on two strips of wood that I placed/secured on the top edge of the tank, one on each side. If you take a closer look at the pics, you should be able to see what I did.
  17. So... that's how my fish got sick! Anyway, thanks for bringing over the ATI T5 Twin Fix Ed! I can't wait to c its impact on sps colour & growth... good case study... I moved some frags over (that were originally under PL).
  18. Excellent colours!! Have a safe trip and all the best in your final year! Back for Christmas or only after graduation?
  19. Hmmm... if it ain't "broken"... why mess with it (your formula for successful reefkeeping). Well, if you must... monitor it closely. My 10g nano experienced adverse effects when I stopped dosing trace elements, etc. I was still maintiaining Ca and alk levels however. Anyway, a few weeks after resuming my dosing regimen... everything returned to normal.
