  1. For good results, the T5s should be no more than 3" from the surface.
  2. I've never used the method you describe... but what has worked for me at times is as follows... Getting my water parameters right coupled with good flow/circulation can sometimes stem STN. I use my hand to create additional turbulance if necessary, several times a day. If all else fails, I frag the piece.
  3. Nice setup and colours under those T5s!
  4. Is the cabinet built to withstand the weight of the tank full of water and LR?
  5. Thanks Tuan. The 30g was officially decommissioned 2 months ago and now it's the 100g... which I'm enjoying very much. The transfer went quite smoothly and all's well. Now I've got to go look at your awesome reef tank again for inspiration...
  6. YzF, 8x 54w T5's would work just fine for what you have planned. Just be sure to get good reflectors and your T5s should be no more than 3" to 4" from the water surface. Your clams should do fine on the sandbed but it would be good if you could elevate them a little. I have mine on my DSB. Your proposed tube combo sounds good, pretty much how I would do it... 6x White (~10000K) and 2x Blue
  7. Take all the remaining 3 colonies for $90.... collect by tonight & get them for $80! 1. 4" Tri-colour acropora colony 2. 4" Lime green w/ white growth tips table acropora (nice shape) colony 3. 4.5" Light turquoise millepora colony
  8. Clearing space sale... these are SPS colonies that that I'm letting go at $35 each (original price ranged from $50 to $70). They have lost some of their original colour (i.e. browned somewhat) since being moved from the main display to my holding tank but should do well under more ideal lighting conditions. 1. 4" Tri-colour acropora colony 2. 4" Lime green w/ white growth tips table acropora (nice shape) colony 3. 4.5" Light turquoise millepora colony 4. 4" Blue tip acropora colony Take everything for $30 each. Pls PM me if interested. Priority will be given to those who take more than one and can collect by Wednesday. Thanks, Dan
  9. Yes, it's like being in Fiji, Maldives, Bali, etc... all at the same time. And don't forget to bring your sunglasses, the colours are blinding!
  10. Sorry to hear of your losses GB. On the reason for the crash, I believe you meant "uncured" LR, correct?
  11. Curious... was the blue stag originally all blue (body & corallites) when you first introduced it into your tank? Or did the blue become more intense under your care?
  12. http://www.ultimatereef.net/TOTM/Sept04.htm Congrats Tuan! Very well done!!
  13. Half reserved, another half still available.
  14. Will consider splitting the large milli colony in two. I recognise that a large specimen might be hard to fit into some of our space challenged tanks. $45 for each half (size about 4"x6"). Pls PM me if interested.
  15. One milli sold, this is still available...
  16. Tri-colour milli price slashed to $85. Peachy-pink corallites, blue tips and light forest grean polyps. If my tank wasn't already so full, this would be one of my center pieces. The free 3" table acro offer still applies.
  17. Reddish milli reserved. Tri-colour milli still available.
  18. Friday "Very Special Offer"... buy one milli colony and get a 3" hyacinthus table acro colony FOC. One hyacinthus is starting to regain it's baby blue/turquoise colour at the tips. The other hyacinthus was originally red with blue tips. Both need strong light. Take everything and I'll throw in a aquacultured 4" tricolour acropora that has lost some colour in my holding tank due to less than ideal lighting - FOC. Pls PM me if interested.
  19. Here's a close-up of the awesome tri-colour milli... Pics were taken under 6x 10000K 'Aquablue Special' T5s. MH lighting should produce deeper colouration.
  20. 'Clearing space' sale... On the left is the large tri-colour milli (8"x6") - peach corallites, with light forest green polyps and bluish tips. $95 On the right is the medium-large reddish milli (8"x4") - with long white central polyps (originally had purple corallites, hence strong colour potential). $65 Pls PM me with your mobile # if interested and only if your tank is sps ready.
  21. Pack #2 reserved. I will reply to all who PMed me. Thanks.
  22. CMY backed out as he found out that his tank is not ready for sps. Pack #2 is still available for $75.
