  1. Got a tube of silicone lying around, think I'll seal them with it lol, thanks for the advice!
  2. Thanks! Haha, actually I'm contemplating keeping seahorses in there
  3. It seems happy enough, it's producing quite a bit of oxygen bubbles, and I leave the lights on 20 hours a day
  4. The light is pretty much encased in its plastic housing, plus, I've covered all exposed screws with insulation tape
  5. Some updates: My virgin attempt at a refugium
  6. But so very pretty! I'm a sucker for minimalistic designs hahaha
  7. Yup, will be adding stuff over time I got my Eshopps overflow from ebay; It works so well to the point where the huge flow of water causes a noise problem. It also sucks in a fair bit of bubbles, but I've built a bubble trap in my sump so it doesn't get sucked back into the tank. However, I think I might probably switch to Mame Overflow in future And yes I'm really digging the Pharos LED :D
  8. Tank - ADA 60-p - DIY sump made from a tank I picked up from Poly Art at Clementi and acrylic sheets from Art Friend Hardware - Eheim 2228 canister which functions as my return pump and holds live rocks - el cheapo Boyu protein skimmer - Vortech MP10 - Pharos LED with wireless module - Eshopps PF-Nano Overflow Box - Hailea HC-100A Chiller Livestock (ported from old tank) - My two clowns (which I still have no luck getting a proper photo) - Assorted zoas and shrooms
  9. Hi guys, I recently decommed my Fluval Edge from here: Picked up an ADA 60-P and Pharos LED from Fresh'nMarine and basically ported everything over Shift house loh! Got myself an MP10 early this year I also put in a sump this time After one entire day of shifting to the new tank
  10. Have this running since early July Filtration: - Some canister prefilter that I loaded with a sheet of wool and stuffed with coral chips. Lots of pods running around in here - An old EHEIM canister filter my late father left me, no idea what model this is. Only live rock in here. Wavemaker: - Boyu WM-101 (would probably upgrade to an MP10 in the near future) Protein Skimmer: - DIY 'Glazer' style skimmer I made with a plastic tube from Art Friend (pardon the bad silicone job lol) Chiller: - 1/20HP Hailea HC-100a Lighting: - 3rd party hood with 6 x 3watt LEDs, 4 whites and 2 blues Livestock: These two guys Random zoa, paly and shrooms and a hitchhiker anemone that came with my live rock from Coral Farm I have a love/hate relationship with this tank, I love the design but it's a real pain to work with with regards to maintenance and equipment sourcing. The very narrow opening at the top also means that oxygen exchange is restricted. I had the tank crash on me once in the early days because the wavemaker wasn't causing enough surface agitation and it became hypoxic.
