  1. That's very interesting question on bacteria. I believe the testing for bacteria can only be done using equipment and/or lab equip which are not readily available or affordable to most people. Having said that, Does anyone using NSW from LFS/ farms test for bacteria?
  2. Hi, as confirmed over sms, will take the Rio17f pump, skimz salt mix and H2Ocean from you this coming Saturday morning at 11am. See you then.

    DI water...

Based on my understanding carbon media is generally cheaper than DI resin. Either arrangement will yield the desired TDS at 0 but at different costs in the long term.
  4. Hi, thanks for the info, appreciate it. Not a Facebook user here so miss the info there. Cheers..
  5. Hi, anyone have any info whether Aquarist Chamber operates on flexi hours or has fixed operating time? Went down yesterday evening at 7:30pm and was closed. No operating info on shop front nor webpage. Thanks.
  6. Thanks for the reply and update. Will try to pop by this weekend.
  7. Thanks for the info. I did a search here, the clams there are rather on the high side. Just starting out so putting a lid on expenditure.
  8. Am looking to try clam for my tank. Appreciate if anyone who come across clam of not more than $40 please PM me the details. Thanks.
  9. Just to highlight that top up for evaporation is using tap water kept overnight. Tds at punggol is about 70ppm.
  10. I understand the risks involved. Thanks for your concern. The tank has been doing fine for the past 3 months with both fish and subsequently corals.
  11. Just dropped by Pasir Ris, lots of flame angels at Irwarna and Ah Beng for those who are looking for one. Irwarna also have sizeable stock of yellow tangs of various sizes, a whole tank of mandarins, a number of small blue tangs and potter angels. Cheers....
  12. Your tank has not been fully cycled for just 5 days. And your small tank size does not help as parameters are difficult to maintain for small capacity tank. See if you have friends to help temporary house the hammer until your tank is cycled and parameters stable.
  13. Would this mean that the chiller is under powered??
  14. Ng couple opening hours is usually from 12:30pm onwards. Cheers..
  15. Hey guys was last year catch posted last Sep 2013.
  16. Agreed you need some force to make them sink immediately when introduced to the water surface. Saltwater is more dense. I prefer to release them slowly and floating so as to make sure every pellet is consumed, so a feeding ring will just do the job.
  17. Gsp need good waterflow to thrive. Bring it further up to enjoy the flow from your internal filter. Add in good lighting, they will open up in no time. Brighter lighting will help develop more intense colors.
  18. Could it be a type of leather. Mine bought from the farm last week comes with a small leather coral growing.
  19. Don't think so. It's stated as sinking. Majority of new life spectrum pellets are sinking.
  20. My purple stripped dottyback likes to nip at my cleaner shrimps initially. Maybe you can observe the behavior of your damsel and clowns.
