i am not sure about lightings and plants thought.. cause last time i has pretty hardy plants.. dont really knoe watz the name by they survived on 2 fl blubs. my bro has a planted tank, no very proffesional but its on 35 watt PL and its a 2 ft tank. he has some java ferns and some other plants which i dont knoe the name. he isnt using any high tech equipment juz a basic internal filter thats all. no CO2 or anything fancy here is a old pic, dont have the new one. not very impressive though.

haha that really depends i think .. if u are keeping small little fishes like chromis and similiar size fishes... u can keep more where as if u are planning to keep show size large fishes like angels then u can keep less fishes as compared

eh sorry wat does WI stands for ? yes i knoe i shouldnt be too fussy of wat kinda stand i am looking for since i am a student.. i have seen some iron stands already, although they are able to withstand the weight, there is still this thought of it collapsing and besides my dad wont allow me to get a iron stand as all the equipment and stuff will be exposed. so you must be thinking, why not as him to get me one.. well i think i am responsible for my own hobby so yea i will get one myself.. i would prefer a cabinate or smth similiar. i have already found the rest of the equipments and the prices that are able to support my tank, since i can get them slowly i wouldnt be there begging or people to selling me good stuff and rediculous prices. for now i juz need the stand so i can do the pipings and start cycling the tank i am juz asking whether is anyone giving up ... if not then i will find other ways to solve my problem

haha bro i think thats the beak, a.k.a the mouth.. makes sure u dont get bitten its quite painful. maybe u wanna try throwing some live feeder shrimps ? or some small crabs in. i think octopus feeds primarily on crabs in the wild ? i saw a documentry on it.. correct me if i am wrong. i can go to the beach during low tides.. catch some crabs (flip some rocks over there are tonnes under them, but do flip the rocks back to the usual place after that) feeder shrimps are found in shallow pools.. they normally exist in a huge huge shoal... say easily 50 - 100 but u have to be pretty quick to catch them hope this helps cheers

haha yea i juz realise after looking at some iron stands... they dont look like that can hold the weight for a long time too and they cost quite abit as well .. haha anyone giving up a wood stand cabinate ? solid wood is preferred without any laminates or plastic cover ups.. its ok if its very dirty or unsightly, as long as it is strong enough to handle my 4 feet tank.. the tank is still currently sitting on the floor i am a very tight budget though .. i knoe for me being a student isnt a very good reason for asking people to lower their prices, so if u have a stand to let go and price really isnt really a factor for u do pm me or if anyone knoes any carpenters that makes stands do let me knoe too.. but i think they will be more exp rite ? thank your for reading cheers

haha i think the tank look better with the larger rocks. it also look "cool" without plants adding plants isnt a bad idea too, but i think u have to take extra care of the plants that are gonna be added, wrong plants might juz spoil the image all together

aiya 5 mm 6 mm ... difference is juz 1 mm ? lolz i dont think it makes a big diff lar ... all i knoe is the glass is pretty thin. i got my tank from my uncle, so not very sure whether it was custom made, but its diffinately more than 7 years old
