wow u are 1/2 way round the world. haha ... maybe u can collect some rocks on the beach that has micro algae. and u have to wait for the organism to migrate to the rocks u have i guess.. it will take awhile

let nature take its course i guess... i think u should remove that dead coral and wash it clean before putting it in your tank.

ya must control the lighting.. constent i guess... i try blasting the weed with long photo period.. grew like there was no tmorrow. then shorten the photo period dastically. i didnt do it intentionally lar, at that point i realise that the photo period was way too long so i shorten it. the weed bleached then die !

ya the tube is out.. the pump u use is Idra sicce ?

ya i know .. but the bubbles forming are pathetic .. and i mean pathetic. its worst than my previous skimmer which has no rating at all ... so juz wanna ask if anyone is using any pump that is decent enough to at least produce some skimmate. needle wheel skimmers are too expensive for me.. so i tot i will jzu make do with this and try to get the best performance thanks for the input though cheers
