  7. sugi, mine is 30" deep only and my pendants will not be permanently fixed on hood as i'll be having some slider + removable pendants. thanx for the tip. ls, thanx for the encouragement....
  8. Decided to start a thread on my new tank to document my obsession and to store some pictures just in case my laptop crashes! haha My current 4 x 2.5 x 2.5 is actually serving my hobby well but dunno why backside itchy decided to change the tank and to adopt some alternative reefing methodologies. Specs of new tank: Size: 52"(L) x 26"(H) and 30"(D) Technique: Starboard Bare Bottom & Zeovit Lighting: 2x250W BLV DE + 2x54W Dimmable T5 (ATI DimFix) Been planning this for months and I'm finally seeing it being fulfilled. Hope to add in more pics as time passes by. Enjoy!

  10. dude, i got the 7091 controller to let go if you're interested. cheers
  11. u are still able to have a stunning FOWLR. think of all those angels u can keep.
  12. hi meat loaf, hope u dun mind my 2 cents worth of comments. i'll be going BB soon and i'll be using white opaque acrylic at the base mainly for a couple of reasons 1. distributed stress on the base of the tank having pressure points at the glass base may not be a good idea but then again how long do we keep our tanks!!! 2. light reflection from bottom up this will perhaps create addtional light for sps bottom upwards! bo liao perhaps but worth a try. hopefully given time, coralline will grow on the acrylic and it won't look as wierd. cheers,
  13. hi william. i dun why u cannot do it but be careful with your incision. use a dremmel or get a good pair of shears for precise and less-stressful cuts. personally, i suggest u to forget abt those lugols or whatever dip u might be planning. once it's glued and grown out, u might get tips fusing to a larger colony. that'll suit your purpose. have fun and keep us posted on your result. cheers
  14. looking for Eheim 1260 or AquaBee 2000. anybody thinking of upgrading or selling the above, pls pm me. cheers
  15. what's amazing is his selection of fishes to complement the colourful reef tank. i'm inspired to get rid of some fat tangs and get some pygmy angels in my reef tank as well. totally agree on some wrasses which can do some cleaning as well. cheers and congrats
  16. bro. get the aquamedic scrapper. i've been using it for a month and it kicks a*s. a bit pricey thought but a good solid feel. those magnetic ones are not that effective to scrub off sticky algae, esp coralline cheers
  17. natural sea water's KH is 7
  18. pic A will give u better spread. u will want to spread lights across the length and not some sand in the front right
