  1. Hi all Please let me know if you are selling this (ideally if you are a LFS) and the price. Email me at reeflobang@gmail.com. Thanks!
  2. Went with my family to Labrador Park on Sat and the timings just so perfect while I was at the pier.... it came to breath only twice and I SHOT it... with a camera of course....
  3. I saw the below on the web on using ROWA - How to use - DO NOT RINSE ROWAphos BEFORE USE. - It must be kept damp at all times. It is not effective if it dries out. Do not rinse? I have been rinsing it many times before and its real filthy - rusty colour water etc. I can't imagine it inside my tank..... Or does it mean - rinse just before use? Hope its a "England" problem....
  4. I was in Bangkok recently and remembered that many friends had done their tailored shirts and pants there. Decided to go to Patricks Fashion at Sukumit 11 as it had big adverts and also claimed as best tailor of the year award etc... Very friendly service I must admit but let down by lousy follow up and tailor skills. I ordered 10 cuff shirts and 4 cashmere pants and below was the process: Day 1 - measurements taken and was told to come back tomorrow for fitting. Day 2 - came for fitting. Sleeve was 2 inches short, normal cuff instead and chest hair exposed when I take in deep breaths (custom tailor? what a joke!). Was told to come back again in the evening for fitting again. Came back in the evening, sleeve length ok but still normal cuff and tight.... Day 3 - Went down again and finally all ok but they claimed they made only 5 cuff shirts and the other 5 are normal cuffs. Promised to rush them to me at the airport before I board the plane. At the airport - decided to check all the shirts and found 5 was still in normal cuffs! Really blew my top then! Its not as if I am paying dirt cheap prices for them (S$32 for each shirt and S$62 for the pants). I refused the 5 shirts and only paid for the 5 correct shirts and 4 pants. They promised to courier the other 5 shirts to me the next day but it has been 2 weeks.... I am going to post this at other forums as well so others are warned as well! In case u are wondering, they are not local Thais. In fact, almost all the tailor shops are of the same race. Find out for yourself when you happen to be in BKK.
  5. They should be fat and "juicy" looking normally. Like mine.... If not, somethings wrong. I squirt mysis shrimps at them weekly, they love it. They will catch it with their tentacles and slowly swallow every shrimp...
  6. Call NTUC Home Services 67888788 and let them refer you. Supposedly they are chosen by NTUC to be on their list and you can use NTUC as a middleman should any issues come up. I had previously called twice on my own with numbers from the newspapers and they were nightmares! Still fuming when I think of it. One of them ripped me of $160 just to replace a bathroom tap and the second was worst.... My toilet bowl got choked and when the guy came, said its $200 to clear the choke. I bargained until S$80! But they insisted on cash and not cash cheque. They close the bathroom and made some knocking noise inside for a while. They came panting and said hard work etc (but very poor acting...) and said ok now. But they asked me not to flush for one hour as they had poured acid inside the bowl to "melt" whatever is left behind. I grew very suspcious when they left and went to flush the bowl. It was as stuck as ever!!! I ran to the balcony and shouted at them to come back or else. They came back very unwillingly and started to "check" what's wrong. They then said that they now need to remove the bowl completely but its will cost another S$70 more! Wau lah... I nearly burst my blood vessels..... For S$80 they just poured some acid and quickly want to split! I just wanted them to finished the damn job and paid them what they wanted in the end. But I watched them closely this time round to ensure that they did really clear the choke. Glad I did as the next time the bowl got choked (kid's toys, what else), I was able to remove the whole bowl myself and cleared it for free... Whoever got choked bowl near Sembawang, my services at $50 cheap cheap.... but one condition... make sure no shit inside... ha ha...
  7. One of my corals got "burnt" when the Ben failed to turn off at night and only after a week did it start to open up again....
  8. I bought 2 recently in March and both konk off already !!!!! Will never buy them again!!! The S$9.90 ones (special price at Carefour at one time) lasts longer though they are double in size.
  9. Cleaning of weapons?... what are "runners" for..... Opps, I don't use WD40 but I think much flaming is coming my way.... ha ha...
  10. Hi all Anyone with experience in keeping the above? Tempted to do so as its really such a beauty but am afraid of "consequences"....... missing fishes, toppling of my LR setup etc... BTW, what do we feed it with?
  11. The bars are 2 inches thick all round and I think it should be strong enough (I hope....) It will only support tank itself and the hood plus others will be suspended from the celing. Any one out there using 2 inches bar on a 4x2x2 and surviving....
  12. my current 2.5x2x2 ROCK TANK! Cycling my new rocks inside meanwhile..... Do plan to use some of my existing sandbed to seed the new tank.
  13. My arms are at least 4 feet long... ha ha like a monkey..... No lah.. if you see my message, it says 3.5 feet tall tank STAND. My tank is the standard 4x2x2... I am 1.85 m tall so i wanted a taller stand in order to view the tank at my line of sight. For shorties... too bad... opps... First pic of my stand.... no tank yet... the brown patches are oxide paint to protect the key joints from potential rusting in future.. The whole tank will be covered up by the time my carpenter does his work so the patches will be hidden.
  14. Thanks for the comments. Will start posting pics once my tank stuff starts delivery. My stand is coming tomorrow. 4 x 2 x 3.5 (yes, 3.5 feet tall!)
  15. I now have a 2.5x2x2 tank that matured and stable (more than 2 years). I am planning to start a 4x2x2 tank but due to my other renovation plans, may not have time to fully cycle my new tank before transferring my current LS and corals to it. What if I cycle my new tank for 1 week with some new LR and sand, then move the whole contents of old tank over including the water, LR etc (excluding the DSB). Think my LS can take the "stress".... I was think my "live" LR will probably still be able to handle the bioload (have quite a bit if it) and its essentially a sudden 60% change in seawater (about 40% will be from my old tank). Views....???
