or there might be formation of calcium precipatate in ur skimmer.
air valve blocked??
==
I am dosing kalk, it maybe due to calcium precipitate. How to check and clear?
Did anyone experience a skimmer suddenly stopped from producing skimmate after running normal for several weeks? The bubbles and and waterflow look like the same as before. The skimmer is prizm. Is it normal for this skimmer or other skimmer? Does this mean that there is nothing to skim?
Please help advise.
Please help enumerate basic supplements (iodine, strontium,..) needed for corals (mushroom, zoo, bubble, star polyp...). And what brand in particular. There are a lot of products outside but want to get those proven helpful.
I tried to mix kalk with fresh water but the resulting solution is not clear?
is this alright?
I then dripped this solution into the tank overnight and see some small white particles left at the bottom of the container in the morning. Does this mean that I did not completelly dissolve the kalk?
What is the best way to prepare the kalk solution?
How you feed your goby? Since this is a floor dwelling fish, I could not feed with mysis and brine as they tend to float and get eaten by other fish. Can't do a direct feeding as it hide under the live rock if it see something coming.
What else do you feed to your goby.
Do you have any modification done in your prizm?
did someone try to play around with the impeller to increase air bubbles?
Anybody use other pump?
Please post any modification done.
Do a night hunting if you want to catch the crab. Just last night, I caught one but the other one escaped. When the crab went out to look for food, I use a plastic tubing to press the crab against the rock and manually take it out.
Last time, I though the crab is ok (since it is small) but one night I saw one crab nipping the tail of my blue tang (you know blue tang used to sleep sideways under rock crevices making it an easy target) ang my bicolor blenny went MIA so no no for a crab.
Good luck for your crab hunting, I still need to catch the other one (hope the last one).
I have one to give away if you are interested. It is the normal red leg hermit.
I want to release as it is attacking my electric blue hermit.
Collection at sembawang.
I need a white color high output 2' tube. I tested 10K and 20K but could not see the
difference. Which one is more appropriate. I have one blue already. Plan to keep
low light demanding corals later on.
Or any other color?
