Are you setting up a tiny nano tank too?
-
Where can we get land hermit crabs now?
-
It's 1.5 kg.. I had to break the original rocks with a hammer as they were too big for the tank. I found lots of bristle worms and crabs inside. Anyway, I believe there were even smaller tanks on nano-reefs.com.. that's where I got the inspiration from. With something this size there's no room for skimmers, so I'll rely on water changes. I will not be using fans, as evaporation in this size will be drastic. I plan to minimize heating by raising the lamp high above the surface. Polyps on the live rock have started to open already. I hope that's a good sign.

Ya.. too many rocks, so I'll be splitting it into 2 tanks. I plan to keep just worms, polyps and maybe some soft corals. No stony corals, because I want to use just 10w at the max. Are there any places selling low wattage actinic tubes? PL 9w or lower?

Thinking of going later.. is it closed today?

Where is AM? How much did it cost? -
I'm looking for a clip light for a small tank... I need something around 20 cm in length or less, and able to hold 1 13w PL tube. Something like these: Does anyone know where I can get one? It doens't have to be specific for fish tank use.

Where do you stay? I'm looking for rock rubble.. about 5-10 cm in diameter. Is your rock about this size?

It's alright, this will be my 4th reef tank. I belonged to the wet/dry and skimmer schools more than 8 years ago... this time I'm going small and rock only, with just an external filter. Got the idea from nanoreefs.com. Last time I kept lots of tubeworms, mandarins, and stuff like that. This time I plan to keep only polyps and mushrooms and maybe 1 shrimp. -

Do they sell rock rubble about 2-3 cm in size? -
Hi, just started setting up my tank, a really tiny one at 15x15 cm. Are there any shops that sell small marine salt boxes? Everywhere I've been to sells those huge sacks and I don't need so much. I also need to get small live rocks to start off with, and the shops seem to sell by the kilogram. I think I only need 1 kg of rubble.
