yeah. previously have only a black back. the light reflecting to the bottom glass without oyama is more reflective. sometimes a distraction

any recommendations on oyama on barebottom tanks? i planning a black oyama at the back and at the base. the tank will have a foam at the base. my current setup has both at the back and base...not sure if next one just want to do the back only not.. Wonder if detritus more obvious with black base...

If you using external temp Controller, hook up fan to the controller. Chiller on, fan on . Chiller off, fan off. If fan noisy, I doubt you want 24/7 unless silent .. But still electricity bills counts.

You can get just water block alone. Some online web sell part by part.

Thats a water block . can get similar they used for those cpu water cool system.

the heatsink is really heavy and have some weight. maybe everything inside a compartment still ok hide behind tank... but hob i doubt so...stress on the thin glass tank.

the peltier and the heatsink / psuppy should be able to get . maybe some variations in specs. but the peltier i think not gona be cheap. other than that the rest are avail in sls.

i have 1/2 hp chiller inside cabinet.though having a fan in the living room helps to dissipate the warm air when its running, the cabinet itself have been equipped with metallic aircon industrial fan. more solid and lasting than my money spend on those fan with plastic casement and blade. and the chiller is only warm to touch when its working.

basket...it must not overflow the sump... or your cfo will come after you. at least few inches allowance . if there is an elbow at the return inside the main tank, i guess it should have a hole around there to break the flow. though i think the water height will be pretty high in the sump.

Sorry to ask, but have you test the system when all pump shut down , how high the water level in the sump?

The chiller pump with the skimmer pump chamber. so more flow into last chamber.

1) the raised glass chamber where the downflow goes, if the width is 4'..you can try placing a filter sock 4x8" in directly beneath the pipe. it should stay snug within the chamber and also muffled some noise 2) the chiller pump try placing in the skimmer area. so its not competing with the other return pump, then u can try adjust the return valve.

did you reduce the flow of the return pump and the downflow valve? why never run it max.?
