  1. I saw some "unbelievably" small ###### Shrimp at AM just now. Do you think my LS especially the BT and the Hermit will take these tiny guys as breakfast? A bunch of Sexies can be quite a sight. Also afraid my corals will swallow them alive, lol. What's your view?
  2. It doesn't scratch againts rock or anything... it just pecks on the glass. Partly amazed by its own reflection, partly to taste my yummy, nutritious algae! It is very active and always hang around my wavemaker. It is the only fish that can withstand my wavemaker... very good swimmer I must say. Even the Chromis is "no-fight"
  3. Ok I will monitor is closely... I will also do some reading on Ich. Hopefully this specimen will do alright. Here's a pix of my BT in the main tank. It's quite small, so the Chromis in front looks kinda large. Sorry bout the leather in the foreground, I moved it just now, so all the little arms retracted.
  4. I do notice a bit, but it can be a lot of other causes... but I do notice my coralline growing to new areas, so I guess it's ok.
  5. AM nothing much la... oh those small Dispar Anthias are quite beautiful, selling 5 for $20. I better monitor my Sunburst... it doens't look hungry to me at all. The BT was in a betta box, I throw in a bit of algae and it ate them. So I released it into my tank... now it is pecking on rocks and glass non stop, lol. It's quite costly though (for such a common fish). This BT is very active, almost as active as my Chromis. Love active fish! Butterfly is not reef safe right? If not, I already gotten a small S'pore Copper Butterfly. Upi have any Gramma? Saw some Brazilian at AM.
  6. It's not too big actually... but I don't think I should introduce anymore bulldozer... I might be the next person to offer Hermit FOC, lol.
  7. Hehe just bought a tiny Blue Tang from AM just now Heard they are quite good in controlling access algae especially those yucky lime green patches
  8. How big is your specimen? Here's a picture of my humpty-dumpty fell off the cliff!
  9. Yeah! Dowry at last! This is a small specimen. Hopefully it will be the leader of my cleaning gang... the gang is already working very hard 24/7 but a new leader will motivate them to consume more and more algae! http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Di....cfm?pCatId=330
  10. Yes I off my protein skimmer, my filter and my stock pump. Just the wave maker remains... good enough to circulate the tiny food/pellets round and round the tank for every coral! I will switch back on everything around 10 minutes later.
  11. My Hammer is brownish in colour with a bit of green at the tip. It is still not opening fully coz it falls off the LR all the time. The branch is quite hard to position and my hermit and snails must have bulldozed over it all the time. Will post a picture when it fully opens.
  12. Yes it is very potent. Just a tiny bit (about 1/15 of a teaspoon) will do. Mix with your tank water... I also bought Argent Cyclop-eeze from AM just now... my Chromis love it so much! It smells very tasty to me, yum yum! It's very fine (red colour like chilli powder) so my corals can benefit from it too.
  13. This Frogspawn is now my personal favourite... it opens up so beautifully, giving me much needed encouragement and motivation... at least I know it is settling fine
  14. Revealing the side view of my tank... for the first time... the Sunburst Anthia is still not eating (at least not in front of me) but its tummy doesn't look empty to me... perhaps it manages to find some natural food source within the reef. I really hope it will survive as it is a true beauty... although a very shy one.
  15. Nice... the NC looks so much more spacious without the ReefPack, lol.
  16. Hehe... your air also look crystal clear... the chipmunk looks like floating in the air (your avatar) lol! I changed water 3 days ago and will continue doing it every Mon/Tue.
  17. Yeah don't worry too much... in most tanks, the purple coralline comes naturally. 4 weeks about end of cycle, start looking at your water parameters and water change. Once the condition is suitable, the coralline will appear. Good luck! And don't go back to that LFS that suggested you throw away all your rocks... next time, he/she will suggest you throw away all your corals and buy some new ones
  18. Oh yeah I notice there are some algae growing very near to the cloves... even up their tube. I will have to relook/focus on my water quality asap as I don't think the cleaning crews can remove the algaes from the clove tubes. Actually, I notice the algae bloom is not as bad as last week. It's under control now... just a bit here and there. Will update you guys on this...
  19. That's a huge increase! Wow, I need to start looking my equipments too. Or else someone will pounce on me soon
  20. Thanks! What a great relief... yeah I bought it from 22 Farmway 2. Like the specimens and pricing there A great discovery for me...
  21. I was having a bad algae bloom last week. Now seems to be in control after introducing more variety of cleaning crews. The turbos and aestras are real "maid". Sand sifting star is also helpful on the sand bed. I also added RowaPhos sponge, skim more and keep lighting to a minimum 8 hours per day.
  22. Oh mine did filter through the sand occasionally... the way it hovers above the sand bed is so so cool
  23. Updated layout Centre front portion.
  24. Another intro to take care of the sand bed... I like the way it hovers above the sand bed like a helicopter, lol. Once introduced, it began sifting the sand already
  25. I hope my new Six Line is not eating the Sea Fan for dinner... Aren't Six Line totally reef safe? Probably it is just curious...
