Hehe that's why u need 2 MH instead of 1... why? Coz you have 2 butt checks, 2 thighs and 2 sides of the tummy... lol!!!
-
I think u might need 2 MH for your tank size... 1 on each side, so no need to remove the plastic bracing... lol. Currently with 1 MH, your lighting will become very uneven. Yeah the shimmering effect... and I'm sure you love the reflections on the ceiling too, lol.
-
Wah MH already... so exciting!!! Yalor that center bracing is creating quite an undesirable special effect, lol. But once you switch on your other lights, perhaps it will blend in better. And your Clam looks beautiful... what time you bought it? You pick yours near the water outlet right? The one nearest to the right side of the display tank. If yes, I was there earlier than you. I think our colouration the same Can remove that white sticker on the MH clamp? Quite distracting...

Thanks bro! My baby Blue Tang was spotted "kissing" my Sea Fan... any reported cases of BT eating Sea Fans?
-
The Scallop is very difficult to keep. They will move around and end up at the back corner of your tank most of the time... so nothing fun and pretty about them. Very hard to manual feed them too...
-
Wow that was fast!!! The 2 yellow fishies are very pretty Where u bought them from? Show us the moonlight effect la!
-
I know... I saw the last piece when I was there last Thursday. A great buy I must say... congratz What fishes u plan to keep in there? Do share with us your dream LS
-
Oh man... see what my baby Blue Tang is kissing... I've came across this behaviour more than twice today... oh my poor Sea Fan
-
Bro I do not need the Tunze mini atm... but yes, if I have things to buy I will let you know. But u might need to collect from me though Here's a nice shot of both my new LS... the Croceas, hope it will do well in my tank.
-
I bought it from PR for only $25 a piece. Croceas, not Ultra Maxima. The slightly larger ones (nice Green colour) are only $30 a piece.
-
Wow! Quite full with Zoos... does your dottyback fight with your gramma?
-
Hehe if money is not an issue... oh since when $$$ is not an issue, lol... you will find Tunze offers better AI (artificial intelligence) and future expansion. I was so impressed by the different modes, I bought it for my Nano Cube. But again, Tunze is about long term investment, not a quick fix. Just my 2 cents, of course

I like his works... and the book is not very wordy, just nice... this is a direct result of reading his book!
-
No lah! Those dark patches are actually the glass bottom. I was telling you guys how clean my back is, lol. The filter inlets are ###### everything nicely... especially the ReefPack 500. If needed, I can always add a small Tunze powerhead down there.

Hi Oxn I think it's time you add some nice clams into your tank, hehe.
-
Is that the Pink 12g NC? lol Nice rockworks especially the top most piece, very nice and purplish. You may want to consider more tiny snails later on... Keep us posted! So exciting to see new tanks...
-
Thanks! I was already wondering about it... ok I will turn it around. Thanks for that life-saving advice

A bright new dash of colour added to my tank! http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_di...?pcatid=581&N=0

The below pix show the angle placement of the clam. Is there a preferred angle of placement? It is now facing the current and the current is not very strong as the wavemaker is actually focusing on the top area. The clam was blue/green at the LFS just now... em... how come now looks purple?
-
Finally... my very first clam... not a fantastic piece as the price is quite affordable. I am currently running a 24g NC with Solite 150W MH 14000ºK. Looking at the photo below, do you think my clam will get sufficient light sitting on the sand bed? The tank is 17" tall and distance between MH and water surface is approx. 8" (9 hours lighting each day). for your help!

Emm... is that a Dottyback? Be careful not to introduce shy LS...
-
What is your ambient water temperature?

Oh man! What a disaster... next time teach your wife what to do la... tell her, once she spotted dead fish in the tank... do the following steps 1, 2, 3... but again, more easily said than done. -
A horrible picture... hehe the honeymoon period for my Protein Skimmer is over... running full force now. The collection cup will become half-full every 2 to 3 days and the skimmate is quite concentrated (compared to last 2 weeks). Must be the increased bioload and feeding of planktons.
