Just to update u guys... my Blue Sea Fan is still surviving... fed them Zooplankton and Cyclop-Eeze just now. Will feed another round later tonight. I target feed them every 2 days.

Whenever my tube goes near the clam, it will close. It's very sensitive and aware of its surrounding. I did try to pour some Aquaz Phytoplankton into the tank 2 days ago... that's why I think my clam is more brightly coloured than before. But tiny Ultra Maxima is still a bit on the $$$ side. Will see how my 2 clams going...

I didn't meant it that way. I join this club with great faith and excitement and I really really want it to remain that way. I am still new and still need support from you guys. How custom is your custom tank? Is it an odd size (say 3 1/8 ft wide, 5 2/7 ft long) tank? Plus your own special design sump? Coz 3 years back, I bought a 3 1/2 ft custom tank and it took them 1/2 week to deliver. Made in JB by the way. I am planning for a new custom design tank. So will tag along your thread to find out more too. Can you PM me your tank maker name? I might need their help too... but 2 months is way to long

I have to disagree with your response to my post. Firstly, this poll is flawed to start with. I am just trying to inform the viewers about my very own experience with the TM shop. Btw, you should also share with us your real life experience with TM... coz I have yet to find any. Secondly, you guys wanted this thread to stay on top of the page to warn newbies about TM shop... I still don't see why you guys have to do that to destroy a business... to be on the fair side, they didn't pursuade me to get the $850 package and they didn't even mention anything about "maintenance free". Thirdly, let's not take side to any particular LFS... I know we all have our preferred LFS, but that doesn't mean that we have to stop other ppl from patronizing your least preferred LFS... I hope my effort put in here will reflect a positive light to our viewers (especially newbies like me)... when it comes to trading... price ain't everything, so even if TM is slightly more expensive than other LFS (a claim that contradicts my experience btw) we shouldn't use words like "Patronize or not to Patronize?" or "Cautioning new reefers"... If that is the case, then it is certainly a very shallow view. I think this is too much of a drama, and yes, customer service is very important to me. And if any of you want to share with me your bad experiences about TM shop (to convince that I am wrong) can PM me.

It's quite rare for ppl to just keep hermits... for most of us, hermits are part of the cleaning crew, that's why they are in our tank... but having said that, some are very beautiful... I have an electric blue, click my link below... u can find it at the first page. Good luck... wanna consider adding more exciting stuff into your tank once it stabilizes? Starfish can be quite nice too... creating a very shallow beach environment.

Feeding u must ask the expert for definite advice... but I heard you can target feed them Phytoplankton... but it can be hard coz the moment your tube goes near it... it will "close shop" lol. And thanks... I am very good at selecting healthy specimens... perhaps I am a very picky person, so not nice, next time la.

I don't think it's fair for us to just tag the TM shop based on its selling price. It's in a mall environment next to MRT. So very convenient to a lot of ppl, so when it comes to convenience... have to pay la. If not, can take a cab or cycle to Pasir Ris Farmway. That shop is not specialized in marine anyway... so let's not scrutinize it until like that la... IMO TM is of a different category, not fair to compare to other LFS that setup up shop in some old shophouses at remote locations. I bought my Nano Cube there, the service is good. He even offered me free modification to my 2 fans... delivery the next morning (less than 14 hours apart). I know he ordered the stock from somewhere... but the uncle is not too bad la... at least he can understand English! Pay him cash/nets, you will get discount. To be fair to him, I bought my JBJ Digi-lab from him coz he offered me the cheapest price in town. Even RB cannot match that, RB told me that price is below cost... err... whatever... Just my 2 cents, ya... don't get angry or mad if I have conflicting views with some of you guys... and I am NOT a TM supporter, only been there twice due to meeting around that area.

AM ok lah... but they do have too many different sales ppl there, a lot of times they don't know anything... so more like friends/relatives hanging out there... so a simple question/task must ask a few times... that's my 2 cents observation. But at least that place is "smoke" free. I was at Harlequin last 3 weeks and I was so pissed off by their hanging out gang smoking inside the store (at the round table near the entrance). As you all know, they have some plastic air curtain, so inside was like a smoke chamber. I left the shop immediately, still can smell the smoke inside my car... bad bad LFS. Don't even respect the basic rules of respecting nature and its customers. Like that place coz it's quite strategic... on my way home, I'll take CTE, drop by AM, then take TPE/SLE home. And also that row of unofficial car park opposite the shop is a big plus. The royalty card programme is working well too... always end up buying more than $30, lol. Bro, they still have quite a number of clams... colours not too bad. The tiny ones can't really tell coz they do not open big-big. You think they still have more LS (those exp ones) behind the shop? Open only to members? Coz the selections in the main store is not very exciting.

Yeah bro, I can't wait to see them open... I wanna feed them live shrimps to keep them happy Any way I can force it to open quicker? Was at LFS yesterday... almost wanna give up on this specimen... then the LFS offered me $3 discount, so bought it! lol You like my new clam? Hehe... it's time you get another one... but I heard those tiny Ultra Maxima is very hard to keep coz they can't produce their own food yet Beware, don't waste too much $$$

My new clam... its colouration is so different looking through glass... will the colouration be better if my tank is made of Starfire or similar product?
