  1. Post a pix of ur sea fan... glad you are enjoying ur sea fan... I am thinking of not keeping my Blue Sea Fan coz target feeding is a bit "ma fan"
  2. I was just thinking how cruel is it... I inject the LBS onto the Sun polyps... the LBS got trapped by the tentacles... slowly pulling them into the mouth... very very slowly... what a painful way to die
  3. Lyretail is such a beautiful fish... once again to bro Colinsoon
  4. But the pix show the Bubble tentacles attacking the Hammer Anyway, I will be more careful next time... here's a pix of my Shrimp attacking the ailing Moorish Idol This time got hope as long as the MI continue eating... letting my Cleaner Shrimp clean the parasites and white spots... it can make it

  6. Confirm the Bubble is stinging the Hammer I interfered immediately to separate them
  7. Wonder what my False Percula is doing...
  8. Another piece of large LPS - Hammer Coral (Green)... the movement caused by my Stream is so so mesmerizing... Is the Bubble Coral too close to my Hammer?
  9. Don't be so bad lah... the ocean is so big... you can't hide all the Tricolors Ok here's my new coral Green Bubble Coral... based on its low flow requirement, I am having bit of difficulty finding it a suitable spot. May need to move some LR to house this piece of bubble properly.
  10. Here's a closer look at my Yumas... the new ones are still settling down... but my Tricolor is already opening up quite nicely
  11. Not very colourful... but very meaningful!!! How often you get to catch something for freei in Singapore Want to see your 30+ shrimps too!!!
  12. Oh dear... let me check my Mg tonight... it's been a while
  13. Here's an update of my new scaping! The Green Starbusrt Polyps nicely sitting on the sandbed, swaying beautifully to the reflected current off the glass surface. This is my Yuma corner... so far with 2 Tricolor, 2 Yellow/Orange Spotted, 2 Orange/Brown & 1 Orange Rhodactis
  14. Yeah my Chevron Tang... besides looking pretty also help me clean my LR, SB, glass even Tunzes
  15. That's the power of Photoshop... do not believe what you see digitally unless you see the real thing with you very own eyes!!!
  16. Hi guys I think it's time for me to get 2 reliable digital monitors: 1. Sg 2. pH I would like the device to give constant readings... Appreciate your experiences with the above products and also brand recommendations (pros and cons) if available.
  17. Whatever it is... it's good to have a back up set in case the reading is questionable... also, we should start investing in Pinpoints/digital test kits as they can be more accurate (if maintained properly)... sometimes, I don't trust my eyes... especially in the late hours
  18. YT spotted in a lot of places, try Pasir Ris Farms... Irwana and Ah Beng and etc.
  19. I like that attitude... "money not an issue"... in reefing that is important because too many of us hoping to find "cheap and good" products... as if the manufacturer dunno how to price their products Ok IMO, Tunze skimmers are very quiet... almost no sound at all except from the bubbles. They manage to have 1) A housing to reduce noise 2) Tunze makes superior pumps But the Aqua Medic Turboflotor I am using is much more powerful/noisier because 1) It comes with a much more powerful pump PH2500 with needlewheel (so air intake also create extra noise) 2) Much much bigger (around 2ft tall) There are other good brands out there such as Deltec. Have not tried them personally, but they are legendary also when it comes to protein skimmers. Just bear in mind, protein skimmer is the most important piece of equipment and it's ok to splurge on it Also, always buy a skimmer that is 1 size larger than your tank capacity. You can check pricing at Reefdepot and eAquanature before going down to their showroom. If you interested in Aqua Medic, can drop by Aqua Mart (Jalan Besar), look for Cheng Hock and can also mention my name... who knows, he may give you freebies or something.
  20. Bro, not trying to discourage you... but you seem to have too much issues on hand atm... IMO Magnesium is not as crucial as the rest. Focus on getting the rest fix-up first. Dosing Magnesium can be very costly in the long run... so find out the problem why instead of immediately buy and dose. I did a lot of mistakes previously and you are right, some products doesn't work well with other (especially by other brands). That's why not I only buy my additives from 1 LFS, 1 brand. It's much easier that way. Henry is a very reliable source, if you just want to follow his advice... that's better than getting bits and pieces from diff LFS and even bros from SRC. As you can see... everybody has their own ways of running things (some follow guidelines, some cut corners)... so the best person to talk to is a reliable LFS that understand your situation. Bring you water down and a list of your current additives and salt mix. Tell him your procedure and blah blah... ask him what to do. Your problem is not unique and I'm sure an experienced LFS seen it 10,000 times!!! But the moment they try to sell you inferior product... look for someone else already. This is just what I am doing to calm myself down... get a realiable brand and stick with it... unless it doesn't work

  22. You need to fill water first (option 2)... adjust your water to the desired condition (especially Sg and pH)... then only you add in LR. I hope you are not confused by the word LR... coz we all use it quite loosely here. Even LR have different types... if you need to know more, I can still help. Just ask more questions. Lighting not needed for the first few days. Don't throw in a Damsel... it's very cruel
