  1. You berry bad influence lor... initially thinking of buying a ready-made tank (like Juwel... yes Juwel?!?)... but after reading your statement... aiya whatever lah... will talk to Steve these 2 days... see what kinda package they can offer me... so that I can keep my cute little Seahorses in a berry nice tank
  2. Altantis' Ca level has been high for months now... slowly/steadily declining... I'm not too sure if the dosing of AragaMILK actually helps bring down the Ca, but the growth in coralline algae surely consumes more Ca than before... also the addition of new LPS/corals within the past 2 to 3 months... I may be wrong... but to me, this is a clear sign that AragaMILK alone is insufficient in meeting the needs of Altantis' tank... coz the Ca level is declining steadily (although intended). Meaning, if Altantis is to start his tank with 450, with his current dosing level... probably the Ca level will steadily drop to 380 within weeks... quite possible. When that happens, there are only 2 solutions to it... increase the dosage of AragaMILK or rely on Calcium supplement.
  3. Mind showing me a pix of your BK? Let me drool lah
  4. Oh so sad... to all Zoo Lovers out there... this specimen is rare... if not because I have half of this frag, I will bid for sure Very healthy specimen... been multiplying healthily, mine started with 7 polyps, not 20+ within 3 months. Maybe can start propagation also!!! Now who's the lucky owner
  5. Haha... if doesn't perform must get rid... real estate is expensive nowadays...
  6. You can get it from RD... err... 2 blue notes can roughly buy 4 bottles
  7. Wah Blue Angel... I heard it is super rare
  8. Well... Altantis' pH and Mg is desirable... Ca is high but adding AragaMILK will not lower it (as mentioned by him earlier). I think the best is for you to try to fix the KH, Calcium and Magnesium to ideal level before proceeding with this product. That way you can learn a lot more about these 3 parameters and their close relationship... AragaMILK is good and handy... but there are a tendency of over-relying on "mix"... end up neglecting the knowledge. I learned quite a bit while fixing my parameters using Grotech KH, Tropic Marin Bio Magnesium and Calcium... specific dosing mediums are more effective in bringing a specific parameter to check... that's my 2 cents btw
  9. Ok I will update again tonight Anyone interested in a lelong Turboflotor?
  10. I know about the breaking-in period... but the thing is... Deltec's performance is obviously superior right after introduction... my old skimmer sorta give-in... protest maybe After tonight, I will be able to decide already
  11. Hehe... let me try to answer: 1) Preferably yes. After using this product for a while, I treat it as maintenance product, not to rectify certain parameter. 2) Nope, don't think this product will help bring down Ca and KH.
  12. Ok guys... 360º change in plan... this thread is now officially closed... will start a new one when the time comes
  13. I have cleared both collection cups yesterday simultaneously and now letting both skimmers running... will pour the skimmate into my "unwanted" wine glasses and update again tonight. If the result is the same as yesterday (pix above), I will retire the underperform skimmer.
  14. Enjoy! http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=49678
  15. Hey... don't be like that lah... I need confirmation and support... on one hand I like the idea of running just 1 effective skimmer... one the other hand 2 is better than 1 (well in some cases)
  16. Hi guys I am very very happy with the power of this little guy. I am just wondering if I can solely rely on this skimmer for my Percula 90 setup. Total volume is approx. 70 US Gallons. As claimed by Deltec: Normal Stocking 700 Litres (155 gallons) High Stocking 450 Liters (100 gallons) Pix below shows the skimmate by my 2 skimmers, both emptied at the same time, 21 hours later, the MCE600 skimmate is on the right. Now... looking at the left skimmate, I wonder if I should decom it... seems like not helping at all. What you guys think? Should I remove my old skimmer and free up some much-needed space? in advance
  17. Decided to give "the other skimmer" another chance... will let them both run for another 24 hours... if still no fruitful result... will officially retire it or use it for my up and coming project
  18. Hahaha... you know how much I paid for my Percula 90 tank? $400... Arctica 1/5hp $400... Tunze set $300... whole setup shouldn't exceed $1500... Aquatronica: Priceless
  19. Haha... bro Acidjazz... I was just kidding hor... don't "quote" me I am actually eyeing on the APF600 but having an Out-sump Skimmer without a sump doesn't seem viable to me... and after reading this review... I got a feeling I will not be able to go through the tuning part without flooding my parquet floor a couple of times Anyway I am very happy with the Deltec MCE600 I bought yesterday... very very happy
  20. Emm... I have no problem with it... well I glide the Powermodul up and down almost every other day... well... a ground probe is not a bad thing to have... I am also looking at getting a ground probe for my tank... coz that will give me even more reliable and stable readings from my Aquatronica
  21. If all Singaporeans are crazily into reefing (like us)... then Marie France and Jean Yip will have to offer a different service already... how to eat less and yet grow fat easily
  22. That's what I thought too... until They are particularly aggressive towards other wrasses... so if you are planning to keep more than one wrasse in your tank... don't take your chances This guy is capable of bullying another wrasse 50% larger than itself Pix: My SixLine cornering my Leopard Wrasse to a corner... tail torn... scales in patches
  23. Guys... I am retiring one of my skimmers No skimmate... waste electricity I know it sounds crazy... but the difference is really so obvious
  24. Emm... I think I'll wait for my next setup... so I'll just see pix of your specimens lor Money is one thing... keeping such rare/exquisite alive is another... somehow the responsibility is greater lor But I'm sure you are experienced enough to handle a wrasse... I still got much to learn
