  1. So bro... are you getting a Mini-BK? I think the Mini-BK 200 is the best for your setup Do update us... and make us drool
  2. Mytery Wrasse? Err... how much you think they are selling?
  3. Well... my new tank volume is just around 100 US Gal (incl. sump)... I guess should suffice for the time being since it is only a fish tank for 9 to 5 / 5 days a week
  4. Ok guys, the tank maker came to my office just now for a site audit, so we've decided on site... 4W x 1.5H x 2D with external flow. Sump will be maximized to fit the footprint. Nothing fancy, nothing grand... I've decided to save up for the following: 1) Live Aragonite sand bed (1 to 1.5") 2) An ATI Bubble Master protein skimmer (upgraded from Twister®M) 3) A reliable CR (have not decided what brand yet) 4) 2 relatively large FR (most probably Skimz) with reliable phosphate remover and activated carbon I hope my modest/realistic plans will not cause any unnecessary delay to the project... I will organize an open tank party for all bros and sis
  5. For me... the neglecting of work is most evident... this hobby is way too addictive... makes my (somewhat exciting) job seems boring
  6. I know... that's why I have to do Brazilian Wax this afternoon... actually it's kinda fun... pulling the macroalgae off my LR
  7. I agree with you bro Reefaholic... damn... they put such a beauty inside a sewage tank
  8. That's all? No pix? Haha... bro you been extra busy lately?
  9. After running this guy for more than 2 weeks... I am still amazed by its POWER... I've adjusted the air valve at "12 o'clock" to allow maximum air intake as the "2 o'clock" position creates some noise at the air intake... in order to reduce the "wetness" of the skimmate, I moved the collection cup higher... yes, the cup is adjustable (thanks to bro Halohalo to help me discover this)
  10. Green Juice Anyone? Don't play-play leh... very nutritious... it's been fertilized with System Reef-resh and ATI T5s
  11. Bro DE if you are selling your BK... consider me lah!
  12. Go get a set lah... you should've gotten it from RD since you were there just now... can't wait to see your modified toy leh... maybe I can "copy" you design lah Those sulphur beads from RD cost quite a lot right?
  13. I double what bro Madmac mentioned... you must know your Alk level before you can get something to fix it. Bearing in mind too high a Alk can also be very harmful. I find Tropic Marin Alk Test Kit particularly easy to use (after trying Salifert). As for dosing, I've tried Salifert KH+PH before... it's very effective but very potent. There's a danger of overdosing or raising too much within a day. Must use with caution. Alk is a very crucial parameter as it will also affect Calcium (and somewhat linked to Magnesium).
  14. My little angel... been with me for almost a month now... one of the smallest fish in my tank (and possibly remains so for a long long time ) Surprisingly, very bold when it comes to getting "a-piece-of-the-pie"... favourite food is Formula II fish pellets
  15. Depending on what kinda LS you keep... but for a start you need: 1) Activated Carbon 2) Phosphat removal media (i.e. Rowaphos, Sorb-4, etc) If your Nitrate is high, you may also consider: 3) Denitrator (Commercial: Either Sulphur based or Bioball based / DIY: Many ways) The above 3 are the more common ones
  16. Bro... that's a fantastic idea!!! This Mini-BK looks extremely promising... how I wish I have parents staying in Germany... You can do a product review for us to drool also
  17. Yeah... you always challenge me that way... Perhaps one day... I will be lucky enough to own one... perhaps
  18. Haha... I'm sure he will find an internet cafe over there... or hotel's executive office
  19. Wow... can post some pix? Exciting new toy
  20. A rare shot of my 3 Tangs... the Chevron being the largest specimen... BT being the fastest growing Tang Note my Chevron Tang is turning into an adult specimen... turning black
  21. Haha... obviously I was not focusing on the fish
