  1. Bro DY8 is selling, seen the unit, pretty well preserved. I think there's another reefer (with plenty of modules) selling only as a package with his gigantic tank.
  2. Very impressive bro... I've seen the ATI Threadwheel in person and yours surely looks like it It's amazing how easy it is to reproduce... much simpler than producing a Needlewheel for sure
  3. I wouldn't compromise on the quality of the tank and the cabinet. Any misfortune can be disastrous for you and your family. LS gone aside, it can cause major floor damage, flooding of furniture, power trip and major screw-up from your family (for sure). As suggest by bro Sapp, if budget is really a concern, I'll suggest you go for a proper aquarium metal stand (yes they do look rather ugly)... apply proper coating (to protec from saltwater). If you are good at DIY, can also construct some wooden panels to wrap round it. Check out bro Colinsoon's tank thread under the members section as he did a wonderful job making his DIY cabinet & hood look pro. I still think you should consider the Pasar Malam section. I was like you when I first started... trying to be different and spent $xxxx on a non-sump setup. Regret it almost instantly... really. It's so hard to fit in all the equipments without creating an eyesore. I am now setting up a tank with a huge sump And don't attempt to put your tank on any furniture pieces... they are not designed for such weight
  4. Wow... it looks like a AquaMedic Biostar Flotor... the wet and dry filter Do show us how the sponge will look like inside the main tank So smart... such a simple idea
  5. Yeah I got a feeling the Gigas will look extremely beautiful if the conditions is right I bought the Tri-colour Yuma from Irwana 3 to 4 months back, bro Hammy helped me in deciding and it has grown from 2.5" diameter to 4" diameter Another of my pride and joy
  6. The Aquabee pump is internal (within the box shape chamber... yes the MCE600 really live up to the Deltec brand Probably best hang-on protein skimmer in the world!
  7. Hi Dominik... show us the external skimmate collection cup
  8. Yes... I think that will help you manage your tank better since you need to get the Water Top-up anyway But other than that... can't see much purpose leh... you don't need the Temperature probe (no chiller), pH maybe (no CR), Salinity not critical, Redox not necessary, SIMMOD not crucial for FOWLR, Wavemaker not needed (not possible with your uncontrollable Streams)... Wah, if you wanna make good use of the IKS, you need to relook at your entire setup leh
  9. Because I spend a lot of money growing nutritious algae? One thing I notice about Chevron is... it just can't stop eating
  10. Reef Hermit too (make sure they are reef safe before purchase)
  11. Basically a Cleaning Crew pack will bring lots of benefits to your reef tank
  12. Very good suggestions bro... here's a Sand Dollar
  13. Stop tempting me lah I like this piece very much
  14. Haha... what if I give you my office key... you help me feed my fishes during the weekend lor since you will be around at night
  15. You mean the MCE600? A reefer already reserved it 2 weeks ago... he asked... so I let go lor
  16. Wah so many questions... 1) Yes, the ugly beige ones (refer to pix) 2) The Blue and Orange Linckias do not clean the sand bed, they are good for cleaning glass surface and LR 3) Nope, hermit do not attack a healthy star fish (not that I know of)... unless you are talking about extra huge hermits
  17. Should be ready in 2 to 3 weeks time... since this tank is in the office (Mohamed Sultan Road)... it's so convenient for you guys to visit me... anytime I think I will organize some open house party or something once the tank is up and running AM if you are reading this... better do a good job hor... my tank very visible one leh
  18. Deal But I still got so much to learn... will let the tank settle for a couple of months first (and probably upgrade my lighting) before attempting SPS
  19. Hehe... actually cannot fight with Maxima lah... but I got a feeling it has yet to show its best Gigas leh... can grow until very huge
