  1. Brought some LR from home tank... placed them in the sump tank for the time being... small small rocks are being used to elevate the rocks from the DSB... there are sufficient gap between the two to allow proper flow
  2. Love the new placement of my Pratas... drooping down... love it
  3. Sand Sifting Star... working just as well on my shell bed
  4. Another shot of my beautiful SPS... it is opening up... nice
  5. I also bought 2 more pieces of Monti this afternoon... still trying to find the name... basically... 1) Blue base, Green polyps 2) Blue base, Maroon polyps
  6. Due to the new SPS requirements... I've done the following: 1) Lower temperature range from 26ºC - 27ºC to 25ºC - 26ºC 2) Constantly maintain around 9 to 10dkH 3) pH to keep within 8.1 to 8.3 I will chase master Steve to quickly install my CR!!! New lighting will arrive anytime now...
  7. It's amazing... you've done so much progress and yet you barely started I am doing it the other way round btw... my Phase II will consist of all those things you're doing now When will your main tank comes in?
  8. Eheim is a very reliable German brand... known to make pumps for generations... perhaps that's the primary reason However there are rumours that they are shifting production to China... now that might impact the brand a little
  9. I'm actually looking at a backup system that can last at least 20 hours... of course it depends what kinda equipments will go through it... I am planning to just connect a 7W Tunze Nano Stream And yes, SMS from Aquatronica will come in soon... hopefully end of the year
  10. Emm... that alarm will be audible 50km away? Came back from AM!!! Hehe... 3 pieces of this RARE specimen...
  11. Wow... things are happen real good... and I can't possibly link your tank to your statement of "cheapo" tank setup... Biohome for one is for reefers with Deep Pockets A few suggestions though: 1) The ventilation plates look kinda out of place in white... dun you think? 2) The green rubber tube looks messy and temporary, perhaps you wanna consider proper PVC pipes for your chiller. 3) Bioballs are not entire bad... depending on requirements actually. But yes, Biohome is much better considering the price. 4) Aquabee 5000 is barely sufficient as a main return... you may wanna consider a higher model. All the best!
  12. Yeah I am planning to get an APS or alternative brand next week... gonna burn a huge hole into my already shallow pocket
  13. Emm... I got a feeling I know where you bought this rare piece Wow the ELEGANCE is SUPER SUPER TRIPER!!!
  14. It's at the KLCC (Petronas Twin Towers)
  15. Wow very cheap SPS On the other end... AM brought in some nice and rare SPS... I am going down to collect 3 pieces later The rare red polyps with yellow base left 1 piece i heard... coz all taken by TCC members
  16. Here's my Side View Shot... getting better... hehe
  17. Hi there Firstly, wash or soak the Blackgold using DI water (or freshwater) for an hour or so. This will stop them from floating. It is still recommended to store them in separate chambers as they behave quite differently under the same flow. If the FR is properly designed, you shouldn't have problem keeping both Sorb-4 and Blackgold within the FR. Flow plays a part too. Je®vis
  18. My first ever SPS frag... from bro Jem... can see that the polyps are extending... still looks brown to me though Will give it more time to settle down... Tomorrow I will go collect 3 pieces of nice SPS... 1 rare piece
  19. Emm... temperature a bit high... what's your range?
  20. It must be one of the other equipments that you removed from your tank... are you selling off your grounding probe?
  21. Haha... with your Arctica in place... remove the fans... the MH was designed by the Germans without the need for a fan... therefore I really dun see a need for it
  22. My Frogspawn/Hammer corner... already practising my SPS-style photographic skill
