  1. Steve and Uncle Thomas connecting my Sump No.2 to Sump No.1
  2. Oh dear... what an eye-opener...
  3. 4. Sump No.2 arrived at 6pm sharp... looking really ###### in all black Here are the dimensions: 28" x 24" x 30" (Height) effectively adding 61.557095249999996 US Gallons to my tank
  5. Tick tock tick tock... 1 hour to go...
  6. That's why I dun believe in using Chemical to remove Ammonia, NO2 and NO3 unless it is an absolute emergency/disaster... I read that a lot of chemicals mask the nutrients from the test kits... not totally eliminating them from the system! Same goes for Western medicine... every tablet you swallow... will create other problems (sooner or later)
  7. You should use the Actinic to simulate moonlight too... coz I find your tank "black-out" a little too early at 9.30pm
  8. Hairy Crab season just over lah Can turn it into a Soft-shell Crab
  9. Get ready loads of plastic bags, rubber bands and extra water in tubs
  10. For a start... try to underdose the recommended dosage by 25%... until you tank reaches moderately to fully stocked status Tests tests lots of tests to be done
  11. Today is my big day!!! PHASE II arriving 6pm Phase II will involve: 1) Changing ATI BM 250 to Hydor Performer 3000 (in-sump) 2) A satellite sump (sitting on the right side of my tank) to house the Hydor (elevated from water surface) 3) Introducing my new Calcium Reactor & accessories 4) A 100L semi-auto Salt Mix Chamber (with proper piping and pumps) 5) Converting my old sump into a full scale refugium with a 70W MH fixture and more to come... Here's a pix of some preparation work prior to the arrival of Sump No.2
  12. Yes the boss told me it is from a reefer's tank and I can find epoxy marks at the base... I really hope I can bring it back to life... soon... despite it being abandoned by its previous owner
  13. For Chiller I will suggest an Artica 1/4hp... as for CR... I do not have sufficient experience to offer you concrete recommendation You need to relook at your lighting too
  14. ROUND & HAIRY... LONG AND HARD
  15. What kinda lighting you selected for your mini refugium? How come the lighting kinda bluish? What's your lighting combo?
  16. Last piece... a rather interesting Milli... purple base, brown polyps and white extending polyps I think this piece is already 'browning'... will try to bring back some colours Wish me luck
  17. This is a nice piece also... but it looks a bit whitish today But the polyps are still extending alright
  18. Yupe that's definitely a Whale Shark with the distinctive white spots. Here's 1 of the 3 pieces of SPS I picked up from a LFS clearance sale yesterday during lunch break A pretty common Acropora... but I like the Green tint... almost fluorescent
  19. Yes... and Zoas are very pretty also
  20. Yes... I am officially the Elegance Slayer... killed 2 specimens so far
  21. I'm sure such big amount of SPS will consume a significant amount of Calcium (alongside other elements)... can rely on both additives and a CR No problem at all
