  1. I actually tested both tubes (in Actinic) on my old Solite MH + T5 fixture and ATI had given me a better colouration (corals look better especially fluorescent red and green)
  2. What clam clam? RA again? How about a Sea Cucumber?
  3. Looking at the amount of polyps and hammy's past records... very likely... start the Q now
  4. Yalor... PP dun tell me you brush the shell clean before introducing the Croceas into your tank
  5. Nothing much... just envy you for having a Koran in a mix reef tank... is it behaving well?
  6. Not bad already... especially for first harvest
  7. Welcome!!! But bro... that piece of coral is not a SPS... just wondering... how do you feed your Sea Fan?
  8. What if it turn out to be an Anemone Crab
  9. It's very interesting to see 2 pairs of Anthias in separate pix... I wonder if they will do well in my tank since I've already gotten enough headache with my Lyretails... 2 morphed male specimens
  10. You wanna adopt my lil'krabby? I can't release it into my refugium as I have some LR in there and I might use them for future projects... the last thing I wan is a hairy hitchiker
  11. Bro that's a very good idea... I never thought of that... really
  12. Let me share my experiences with Chaetos... you can't really rely fully on Chaeto and do without your PO4 removal media... unless you have a very large refugium filled with Chaeto... a typical example would be a 5ft main tank having a 3ft refugium... since you have not constructed the tank... perhaps you can plan ahead
  13. Oh yeah... looks more like an Octo... it's kinda hard to differentiate the 2 really... especially the branched type Opening really well... more more more
  14. What are the round things next to the MH protective glass? Moonlight? I think ur refugium is thriving well... u need to add some small snails to keep the plastic surface clean
  15. Nothing out of the extraordinary actually... something that I should've invested months back... just that I was stuck with a couple of hundreds worth of Tangs voucher... and can't really find any reefing stuff to buy there Now I can keep my cameras and other equipments dry and fungus free
  16. Ok lah... I don't mean to nag over this particular practice... but dun you think topping up with freshwater... then change with natural sea water (pure with no freshwater added) will probably end up the same in terms of the volume of sea water you will eventually purchase (and carry from CF)? With the benefit of not killing the beneficial bacterias and nutrients
  17. Now it makes sense... you've been using diluted sea water to top-up and change water for the past 2 years... if you can maintain a tank for 2 years within the range of 1.023 to 1.025... perhaps your method works (although a bit uncommon). But on the other hand, by diluting the natural sea water... you will wipe out some if not all the beneficial bacterias that come with the sea water... hence sounds like defeating the purpose... unless of course you choose natural sea water out of convenience sake
  18. In the sump??? Nah... down the drain unfortunately... by the time I picked them using a tool, they were already squashed Hehe... reveal with more pix tonight
  19. It's so amazing looking at some of your pix... an angel with SPS as background Seems like keeping them clean is quite a task
  20. Is your skimmate always very watery? Light in colour? And lots of it?
