  1. So you manage to inject 50 aiptasias in less than 10 minutes... that's 12 seconds each head... not bad
  2. If you have a large surface area... a Sand Dollar is not a bad choice as they are highly efficient in stirring and cleaning sand bed... some small Hermits can be interesting too... if you want more life inside your refugium... you can also consider a Goby or two Don't restrict yourself too much... go out and play
  3. Hehe... I am confident it can be done... just avoid putting any fish into the tank... hence no feeding
  4. I will do without them both... one thing for sure is bioballs WILL NOT help eliminate nitrate
  5. Me in the opposite position... I have a Black Tang that looks a bit like Brown Tang... and I bluff people I bought it for $10
  6. I think that's a bristle star Dun worry... the starfish will not consume your Zoas
  7. Any Bristletooth Tang spotted lately? Chevron would be nice Kole also can
  8. Since I manage to brought down NO3 to an undetectable level (Salifert)... I will start to introduce some new fishes after CNY... here's a list of my existing FISHES... Helfrichi Firefish Pair (Nov 06) Unique True Percula Pair (Oct 06) Foxface Lo (Oct 06) Black Tang (Hybrid between Black Tang & Brown Tang) (Nov 06) Black Cap Basslet (May 06) Lyretail Anthias 2 Males/4 Females (Apr 06 & Nov 06) Sailfin/Algae Blenny (June 06) Bicolour Blenny (Jan 07) Green Mandarin (Sep 06) Scooter Red Blenny (Nov 06) Mystery Wrasse (Nov 06)
  9. Colouration still not desirable... but at least good sign of growth
  10. This is one piece of SPS I worried the most as some reefers foresee the yellow turning brown... but after keeping it for more than a month now... colour still remains pale yellow... although sometimes a bit of green on the polyps can be observed The Pink Acropora on the bottom left corner is my pride and joy... bought it from a clean-stock sale... the polyps were brown then... but polyps are showing strong pink now
  11. Nothing new to showcase... but I do have some good news to share... SPS are looking happier nowadays... polyps extension on this Acropora (?) looks nice Still green polyps on green branches... wonder if it will morph to another colour one day
  12. The frozen phyto in a bottle? I find it very difficult to use as I need to defrost the bottle everytime I feed
  13. Can I contribute? Here's 1 of 2 Helfrichi in my tank... been with me since early Nov last year
  14. The Yashia has been spotted eating garlic soaked frozen mysis I will be going back to KL for CNY tomorrow... hopefully everything will be alright
  15. I'm going off for CNY tomorrow morning... hopefully everything will be alright Already employed 2 auto feeder (1 for pellets Formula 1 & 2, 1 for Aquapharm chopped seaweed)
  16. Personally I think it is possible... you will have to rely heavily on natural filtration system and most importantly no fish (or very little fish) in your tank... that's the only way it can be possible without back breaking water change twice a week
  17. Just came back from a one-day Jakarta business trip... here's a pix I took yesterday Gotto experiment a bit more with this new Macro lense
  18. That's quite an unlikely situation... you might wanna relook at your feeding regimen... I read from an article that Tangs tend to become extremely aggressive when there isn't sufficient food around... or perhaps adding an anemome will help define the Clown's territory and a refuge to retreat to once they feel threaten
  19. Probably it will become slightly bolder once it has gotten used to the environment and probably with the presence of a symbiont shrimp... thanks for the info bro
  20. Haha... that can be a challenge... I'll try
  21. Turbo Yu Sheng? Here's a FTS as of yesterday
  22. Wah bro... I am still learning... wanna explore photography together? You can start by taking and posting more pix of your tank
