What kinda lighting combination you are currently using bro... I can't ID that piece but I have a similar piece in my tank... green base with green polyps
Sorry to hear about your loss bro... but on the other hand it might just be a blessing in disguise... or else your PBT will get intimidated badly... you have Red Bamboo in your tank?
Very high tech... my kinda gadget Bro can you do a comparison using Salifert test kit? Coz I suspect, this guy can measure what Salifert can't
But again at 0.5mg/l... dun think Salifert offers such sensitivity... I shall get a set too
Simple but effective... will look into it once I've completed all the upgrading works Yeah... a gravity feed for the skimmer is a very efficient way of running most skimmers... something which I might explore later on
Apparently the details on the dorsal fins are called CIRRI... beautiful I think hawkfishes are very very attractive and one of the lowest rated fishes around
Haha... I am a twisted man with a twisted taste when it comes to selecting fishes... here's my new addition
My Falco's Hawkfish... very cute personality... but beware if you have small shrimps
Well... if you have tried very hard to control and not introduce any PO4 into the tank for months... and yet you are getting lots of algae... the chances are the rocks are leeching Another way to tell is the quality of your skimmate and foam... if your skimmer keeps skimming violently even with minimal feeding and after water change... chances are... coz those rocks will release slowly and constantly
Here's a rare occurance caught in the act... no... not Hermit mating... but my Hermit trying to dig out my Snail so that he can take over the shell But the snail has a protective shield Let's see what's the final outcome
2 days and you get that kinda skimmate already? You should've gotten the skimmer earlier... do expect the skimmer to skim like crazy for the coming weeks How mature are your rocks? I notice mine (after 5 months) still releasing PO4 and organic wastes
Do continue to update your thread bro... and more pix... there are much to be learned here... be it right or wrong Doesn't matter... most importantly to give reefers another perspective in reefing... and I am also very curious how long the Black Tips can stay alive in captivity
