  1. Nope, just an internal filter. Click on my signature link to learn more about my setup. Yes I will wait 1 - 2 weeks more. Algae is starting to appear on my LR, I desperately need some hardworking cleaning ah-soh. Will make sure I achieve the 3 zeros before I stock.
  2. Finally, got the chiller connected. It's not as quiet as I expected it to be. But it brought my temp from 29ºC to 26ºC within 15 minutes. Luckily my tank is unstocked atm. Or else, surely kena shock! So I will maintain my tank at 28ºC for the time being until the need arises to lower it further.
  3. As mentioned in another thread, the adapter for Osmolator is quite big (compared to our handphone chargers). All 3 power plugs are not localized (German 2-pin). So a bit troublesome, need to buy 3 converters. Picture below: I put it next to my specs to help give a sense of scale.
  4. I saw 2 Anthias... love them. How are they doing in your tank? Do you really have to feed them all the time? Am thinking of getting an Anthia.
  5. Bro, I notice there are some roots coming out of the red mangrove pod. I did spray freshwater from time to time. I am thinking of removing the green grape (Caulerpa) from my tank. What do you guys think?
  6. Must tank bro Elimmel for sharing the links to the danger of Caulerpa macroalgae. I am so sadden by all the ppl that have been facing so much difficulty removing or controlling this noxious algae from their tank. Can you guys help vote if I should remove that piece of Caulerpa? Just vote "FOR" or "AGAINST". I will count the votes tomorrow. Picture below showing the beautiful but invasive Caulerpa.
  7. Err why don't you get a Juwel stand also? Coz your current one looks kinda rough... But this metal frame will allow you plenty of space beneath the tank for future use... so just need a bit of beautification I guess.
  8. But somehow or rather we need to train our fish to take dry food. What if we are on a 2 weeks holiday? If dry food, I can get a timer feeder machine. That's my plan btw.
  9. I have removed 1 piece from the tank. After taking a closer look, that piece doesn't look too healthy... Thanks bro for the info or else my tank will surely crash big time!
  10. Oh this chunk of equipment reminds me so much of a bulldozer... powerful but unsightly... luckily it's not in yellow
  11. Great! My back compartments are quite dark especially towards the bottom.
  12. So I just have to take great care of it and if there's any sign of rotting, remove the whole patch.
  13. All thanks to you I really benefited a lot from your LRs. Again, You still interested to sell your cleaning crew? I am going east later part of today.
  14. What kinda tank setup r u using? I am also running a MH 150W clip-on-side-of-tank type. Maybe you wanna look at it at my signature link.
  15. yeah thinking of getting one later... they are real beauties!
  16. lol I was so shocked by the $100+/month figure, almost fainted. Bought a Teco RA240 yesterday and it is 220W!!! So should be around $30+/month la. Ok la still can afford.
  17. Besides adding additives, you can also consider adding a piece of polyfilter and perhaps RowaPhos sponge. Pls show pics of your tank condition.
  18. Thanks Hammy... I know what I will do, I shall wait for the LR and sand to fully populated by bacterias, then maybe 1 month later, introduce bags of biohome. I do have available space at my back compartment. Can easily fit a bag I think. Unless other bro feel I should do otherwise, pls advise.
  19. Bought 2 pieces of Cauperla and a bro told me it's poisonous and might poison my tank... oh is it really that dangerous? If yes, I might have to remove them before they rooted onto my tank LR.
  20. Hehe bought the wrong rubber tube, so cannot install yesterday. But when I on it for testing, it sounds kinda noisy to me... well let's see.
  21. I thought Fire Angel is not entirely reef safe... u have more than 1 in there...
