  1. Hi guys As you all know... I've been planning for my next tank for 2 weeks now. Still playing with the idea of custom making a 75-100g tank (incl. sump & refugium). On the other hand, there are some very promising products out there that offers all-in-one trouble-free solution. Might not be easily available in Singapore, anyway. Appreciate you guys can help me with your comments & first-hand experience with these branded tanks. Agent contact is very much appreciated!
  2. Yupe that's what they claim and I've been using them to condition my tap water (while salt mixing) together with KM conditioner. Polyfilter is a relatively expensive piece of white sponge. Cost around $14 for a piece. Ask LFS, most of them have stock.
  3. Yeah I like it... oh so tempting... saw some nice specimens at RB yesterday
  4. Thanks Assamfish! PMed u for extra information... looks like a very good product :-) What u guys think of Aqua Medic protein skimmers?
  5. Thanks for the ID (confirmation)... yeah such a sad situation... all my corals are kinda brownish under the single 14000ºK MH except the Croceas Will definitely plan some Atinics into my future tank Go check out Elimmel's tank!!! He added a "couple of" clams into his nano... wow! Inspirational
  6. Wow!!! A couple of clams?!?! Love the golden one... are these Ultra Maxima?
  7. Emm... could this be a hairy mushroom instead of a yuma? It looks so brown in my tank... it glows orange at the LFS tank just now
  8. Just considering... if any of you guys have any experience with Aqua Medic fish tanks, do share with me
  9. Go get the original JBJ surface skimmer... I saw it at the Farmway 2 roadshow selling for a couple of dollars only ($5 I think). Comes in a small box.
  10. Based on my limited experience with LS, I would say a Six Line Wrasse... I really like mine, it moves around curiously, pecks LR for food and I love the lime green tail. The 2 Spot Goby is extremely interesting too, but only introduce slightly later, so that your tank can offer more food/rubbish for the Goby. Although the baby Blue Tang is nice... but ur 12g might be too small.
  11. And who's not afraid of the big bad Giant Clam?!?
  12. Ladies and gentlemen... please put your hands together...
  13. Thanks bro... and here's a shot (bird's eye view) of my clam very shy clam
  14. Bro I can confirm that... my Croceas comes with a piece of rock attached to the back of the shell, it's angular so placing it upwright is hard. Emm... I will let it stay on the sand bed for 2 to 3 days, if it doesn't look healthy I will move it to higher grounds... the problem with leather position is strong current. My clam is actually not too small... about 3 1/2" from tip to tip. Yes I will still feed Aquaz Phytoplankton the same way I feed my Blue Sea Fan. Both KH and Calcium is within range (and been very stable for the last 2 weeks). Yes, just like my Sea Fan, I will take very good care of it
  15. Passed by RB after work and can't resist the temptation of getting another piece of coral... Orange Spotted Ricordea Mushroom (Ricordea yuma) http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_di...pcatid=2081&N=0 According to Liveaquaria "This type of mushroom is highly prized by the avid collector and makes a vibrant addition to the reef aquarium. Collected in small numbers, this coral is in very high demand by the discriminating reef aquarist"... Just finish acclimatization not too long ago... allow them (2 shrooms in a single rock... lucky me) a bit more time to settle down. Will post some nice pix later tonight
  16. Ok I will feed the BT with seaweed of something... notice all my algae are gone!!! I think I might have been too protective over my Blue Sea Fan
  17. Err... then you should get a 100g tank at least... u need to fit in a BT, YT, RG and a Moorish Idol... and some very fake looking plastic plants and pirate ships.... oh and the bubble treasure chest! Oh and also the volcano!!!
  18. Very nice moonlight effect indeed... is it powered separately? Is it timer controlled? One problem I find with the 24g NC DX is the main light and moon light LEDs share the same power supply, so cannot put timer to simulate auto day/night. Hope yours can
  19. Wow that's a very healthy and wholesome specimen u got there bro! All the best to you and your scallop How does it look like under Atinic only? Mind sharing with us?
  20. My clam is not too small, sorta medium size. But I will still feed Phytoplankton once in a while... I think I will use Starphire or Diament for my next tank (at least the front panel). I know it will be much more costlier... hey, what good is a fish tank if you can't see the real colour of the LS!!!
  21. Must be pretty costly coz they are so pretty... can PM me the price?
