Sounds like a plan... but do you have any ventilation grill/louvre in ur cabinet? If no avenue for hot air to escape, then no point putting fans inside and outside the tank. And running 2 hours of air-con is a very expensive option IMO
Anthias are hard to keep... u might need to get an automatic feeding machine (Eheim brand) but can only use for pellets, and sometimes can overfeed too, not very consistent IMO. But Anthias are so so pretty... recover and go get some more Next time, get those feeding ones
Yeah removing the bioballs will be a good step #1, but the amount of Biohome seems a little insignificant at the moment. Perhaps you wanna increase it by addind another pack or something.
I am using Salifert test kits too. My reading is 10 for NO3.
Sad to hear that... but don't be discouraged... things happen and there isn't much you can do when it comes to hunger strike Sometimes they stay alive... sometimes they "up lorry"... but we reefers always get something new to replace em the next day
Don't panic boys and girls... don't go out and grab a chiller right away Chiller needs proper planning and usually very intrusive to our lifestyle... if there is 1 piece of equipment I can do without, it must be my chiller... it basically transfers all the heat from the tank to my body... sometimes sweating like hell while my fishies enjoying their 27ÂșC water
Move the whole damn rock!?! Luckily, the 2 pieces of rocks are flat pieces and also on the top of the scaping, so pretty easy to flip around. I also read, if the Anemone is sticking very hard, then it is a sign that the Anemone is quite alright. When it fails to attach to something (not sticky), then start worrying
Probe cannot be changed? So r u looking at a Pinpoint unit? Their probes can be changed but cost around $85/probe. I need to look for one soon as it takes too much time testing it with Salifert.
And I read... (yes spent 2 hours at Kino reading about Anemones, lol)... as long as the Anemone is given sufficient light, it will do alright. Once it went hiding (like yours hiding behind the tank)... then it will deteriorate fast... until a point it will not be sticky anymore
Em... temperature last 2 days is not too warm actually... at least still got rain... does ur cabinet allow for ventilation? If yes, maybe add some computer fans there to increase flow. Adding chiller is going to be very messy for your setup
