  1. Your option 1 is a bad bad design... don't ever try that. You'll flood the house. I used to have some Chaetos inside my IOS, the problem is... the amount (due to space constraint) is not significant at all in removing extra nutrients. Once I installed my NR1000, I removed the Chaetos from my IOS.
  2. If you are unhappy with the flow... continue playing with the Multricontroller... that's what it's for
  3. I fed the shrimps and fishes first... basically a bit overfed today... now protein skimmer working like a horse
  4. The clam is very nice... it's a Maxima right?
  5. Don't worry so much bro... I don't suppose all these are affecting your main tank... are they?
  6. Hey update us... maybe we can help you straighten things... things got worse after the departure of your MI?
  7. Hehe... thks bro Qx for his Bi-colour Prata
  8. What an odd shape... Unidentified Flying Prata
  9. Opportunistic little guy... it's nice to see this guy feeding on everything... even pellets
  10. Choked Notice my Prata is also feeding like crazy... changing its shape into literally a Prata
  11. The tiny tentacles will then move the meat into its mouth just like a conveyor belt The mouth is opening bigger than ever!!!
  12. I will dedicate the next few posts to show you guys how my Orange Plate feasts My first spotting [refer to the patch of white meat facing the camera]
  13. Feeding time!!! Thanks bro Altantis for Henry's mix
  14. My new YT loves to hang around near the Shroom Gallery
  15. Is my tank overstocked or what?!? hehe... they just like to hang around at that spot, at my Zoos Garden... where the current blows from right to left
  16. With your 2 Tunzes... your entire tank is strong in current Just teasing you... jealous mah
  17. Sg a little low. As your tank is small, all parameters tend to fluctuate greatly especially for Sg due to evaporation, top-up and water change. Bring the Sg slightly higher to 1.023. Although the acceptable range is 1.020 to 1.025, setting yours at the mid is the best. If you are using a normal hydrometer, they are known to be quite inaccurate. So keeping it at 1.023 will give you enough buffer in case your hydrometer sucks Temperature is amazingly low (desirable). How you manage to keep it at that level? When it comes to measuring temperature, we need to observe for the entire day. That's why most of us rely on a chiller to keep our tank temperature within a 1.5ÂșC range througout the day. p/s: Using air con to chill your tank is a very expensive solution NO3 quite high. Firstly, what test kits are u using? Are they new or second hand? 50ppm is sufficiently high to threaten coral growth and some sensitive LS such as shrimps and scallops... try to bring it down to 10ppm. Your tank is looking great for a 2-week old... keep posting
  18. No, I think Singapore is still quite reasonable when it comes to imported stuff especially from Germany. Malaysia for example has a very high tariff on German made stuff... prob lesser diplomatic/economic ties. All imported stuff come with at least 1 year warranty... that is to be fixed back in Singapore... maybe a problem for you... but generally if you are to get Tunze (for example)... the chances of product failure due to bad production is almost unheard of. Not trying to promote Singapore sites, but it may offer you more variety in the long run... knowing that there are only 2 LFS in Brunei and neighbouring Sarawak can be quite expensive... should be more expensive than Kuala Lumpur. Unless you are to buy from Labuan, heard that's a free trade zone.
  19. Seriously, check out Reefdepot.com.sg... they do deliver to neighbouring countries. You can also try eaquanature.com You sure you not throwing in 2 Tunzes? Coz nothing beats the real wavemaker...
  20. I think for a starter... activated carbon and protein skimmer will help improve your water clarity
