Talking about water... although I've got a Auto Freshwater Top-up in place... the freshwater available may not be sufficient to sustain 2 weeks of evaporation... I've prepared pre-filtered water in containers so that my caretaker (in this case my trusted designer) will just pour them 1 by 1 into the sump

Took the opportunity to change 30% of total volume (2 x 15%, 3 days apart)... I have not been changing tank water for the past 2 months The "fresher" water will help sustain the tank a bit longer if any disaster is to happen

Make sure you clean your filter floss too... avoid using those really fine type to prevent clogging... if your holiday is to stretch a couple of weeks... you can opt not to have any filter floss... I will try to leave some gap for excess water to escape in case the filter floss clogged-up completely. This is what happened to my filter floss compartment when I returned from a 2 week holiday from London last year... almost flooded

Good opportunity to clean all pumps too... but make sure you don't touch the impeller if you are to fly off tomorrow morning... you need to allow at least 2 days to source for a replacement if anything happens to the impeller... well you know how unpredicatable they can be sometimes

Never underestimate the kinda gunk that gather inside rubber hoses... although it might not cause major clogging... but definitely reduce the efficiency of the system

Looking real good bro... the neck of the skimmer looks filthy... but only the upper portion... this could be an indication that your water level is set too high (wet skimming)... I think the best is to achieve gunk over the entire neck portion
