  1. So far only 3 items confirmed... 1) Live Sand by Nature's Ocean 2) Marine Environment salt mix 3) Deltec MCE600 Hang-on Protein Skimmer Haiz... such a long way to go... my CFO is gonna kill me
  2. Thanks for the advise bro... I might just start the project with a simple pair Kudas... yupe will work with Chinmo closely as I have so much to learn from him Will adopt bro Jacobus' SH... I hope they come in a pair
  3. Ok... 1 SOLARIS and exploded my budget for this new project 3 times... as this is just a secondary tank for me... I really need to control the budget tightly... I do not want this project to jeopardize the development of my Percula 90.
  4. Wow! Another Purple I feed (the entire tank with filter floss removed and skimmer off) Roti-Feast™ once a week... Reef Roid once a week... Henry's Mix once a week...
  5. Nice male specimen... bro it's your Hammer now It's your PRIZED hammer
  6. Damn... your army of SUNS are very impressive... what skimmer are you using bro? Perhaps the bioload is not a problem at all... I hope
  7. Haha... but not with a $1800 price tag
  8. There will be... only bigger and better The Live Sand idea will stay... and here's my new addition to the project... from a kind reefer Deltec MCE600 Hang-on Skimmer w/ Aquabee 2000 I will now design a tank accordingly I have a question... if I want to primarily keep macroalgae such as Caulerpa Green Grape and etc... what's the best lighting for a 1 1/2 footer to 2 footer? I will not use chiller, so MH is out for sure... and don't you guys suggest SOLARIS Led
  9. Wow! Very impressive school of Anthias... mine not so lucky How long those Anthias been with you? Are they feeding well? Oh what pygmy angel is that on the background?
  10. Oh all these transistors talk is way beyond my capacity... I will just sit back and enjoy the final product... bro Colinsoon, can you post step-by-step pix and equipment/materials list?
  11. The swing arm ones are quite alright... but u need to know how to use it properly... do ask the LFS for demo when you purchased it. As for the floating (glass) hydrometer... they are quite ok too... u ust make sure your water is stagnant enough for it to function well.
  12. I'll be waiting... oh I miss my Hammer so much... my computer wall paper is filled with his tentacles
  13. Guys... breaking news!!! A 360º change!!! Firstly, must thank those bros that show their concern over the welfare of the SH... after doing much research, 12G is indeed too small a volume to successfully keep SH happy... not to mention the limited vertical space needed for SH to move around... so I canceled the sales of the 12g NC... appreciate the kind bro (seller) for his kind understanding I will go back to my drawing board once again... this time bearing in mind the needs and requirements of keeping SH Any suggestions are most welcome
  14. You won... I bought a Deltec from a fellow reefer today... will collect tomorrow or Monday... nothing impressive... just a hang-on baby Deltec MCE600 for my Seahorse tank
  15. And those tiny little BTs grow really fast too... look at mine
  16. Haha... it's a "chicken and egg" situation... if you are not confident of your water parameters (from unreliable sources/sensors/test kits)... better spend the money fixing the fundamentals instead of spending on expensive LS Just PM me if you need help... yes, I believe with scale (volume), comes cost-savings... that's why I'm doing this... hahaha
  17. After several days of fixing... manage to maintain a constant 8 to 9dKH reading (using GroTech Kh+Ca1)... Magnesium at 1350 (using Tropic Marin Bio-Magnesium)... now trying to bring up Calcium using Tropic Marin Bio-Calcium... according to dosing instructions... will be able to increase 28ppm per day... so I will need 3 to 4 days to complete the process My current Ca is at all time low... 320ppm
  18. Wow... that's a very generous offer... can PM me pix of your beautiful SH?
  19. Oh... I better spend my $1800 on a Deltec then Hint hint: Bro AJ, when r u getting your Deltec? Can't wait to see it in your setup... inspire me lah... I might add a Deltec to my 12G Nano Cube
  20. Wah... locally only $1300-$1800? Emm... I better start saving now... after I get my 6 footer hor ... that will allow me 4 years to save up
  21. Emm... I'm sure you'll find out the root cause... as for me... I think I shall not attempt this on my own...
  22. To jump start the Nitrification Cycle process... aka known as the Market Prawn method
